Tunze USA 7074.500 Co2 Diffuser Compact Carbon Dioxide Reactor

Installed it in place of a nozzle. Works fine. The bottom spray part is not the same as in the picture. It is about 2" long. Which I like even better as it works like a spray bar and diffuses co2 enriched water to the bottom of the tank right on top of carpet. The tube is not clear and rather slate grey. After 2 weeks it became opaque due to built up inside. I do not see it as an issue so have not tried to clean it.The pump (that I do not use) is really flimsy. The protection cover broke off immediately.The spare Tunze magnet is nice to have but it is not the same as my ATO magnet. The magnets are completly exposed on the outsides (the sides that go against the glass). They supply small silicone dots intended to be ised as protective buffers but they look unreliable. The ATO magnets in comparison have full covers and rubber rings that protect the glass from any potential scratches.

I have purchased other Tunze products in the past and am generally very happy with what they make. This diffuser really did a great job at infusing the water column with CO2, however the pump is sub par for a TMDE product. I had a small pump that I wound up using in its place.Overall rating is 3 stars but would be much better if they added a better pump to the system.

One of these didn't work too well for me in a planted tank, 48" wide. I have pretty good flow, but never got the CO2 saturation I wanted. Was able to achieve the saturation with an inline diffuser..

Works great. A replacement for a older one
