I obviously was sent somebody else's reject
Don't send me somebody else's reject without telling me and expect me not to notice and to feel okay about it. I do not feel okay about it.The cellophane casings for the individual components had been sliced open with scissors - the components were loose in the box and the cellophane trash just tossed back in (as if I'd want it?). Did anyone actually inspect the returned package? If they did, they just taped the box back up, trash and all. Why did the original purchaser decide to return it? Was it defective? Did it not perform as advertised?To be fair, this issue reflects on Amazon, not the manufacturer or the product.Having said all this, I did go ahead and hook up the antenna and give it a test drive, fully prepared to pack it back in its box and be the second person to send it back. My old antenna was one of those tape-it-to-the-window things and just looked plain ugly/tacky in my picture window.For whatever reason, this antenna picks up a different set of stations undistorted than the old one, even though they were placed in exactly the same position. It doesn't have broader reception than the old one, just different, improving some, completely dropping others. I decided to go ahead and keep this one because it picks up the stations I want most without pixelization.
