Holds water well as it should
I purchased this 1 1/4" foot valve for a shallow well I dug and it does it's job well. It's down 18ft inside a 4" pipe and have no complaints. I'm using it on a cast hand pump and it keeps prime just fine.

Less expensive and better quality
I was not sure about the quality of this one, so I purchased this one and another one that is about 30% more expensive. The other one turned out to be less good in quality and cannot be returned free of shipping charge. I would recommend people buy this foot valve.

The item is not is what is on the picture
Ordered this item as its the exact image for what I need to replace. anything else will not fit. This item is not the item in the advertisement pictures. Ordered a replacement and it was exactly the same wrong one.
