Better than I expected
I've been on this old anime film vibe for a little while and I bought Arion without knowing a thing about it. Let me tell you, it rocked! I never would've thought a shonen interpretation of Greek mythology would be this engaging, but it kept me glued until the end credits rolled. Definitely recommend.(P.S. Gido's the GOAT.)

Enjoy the drawings!
This is a movie where you can enjoy plenty of handmade drawings from the old days of Japan. The level of drawing ability of the staff is quite high in response to the difficult drawings by the animation director Yoshikazu YASUHIKO.Many people will be impressed just by looking at the drawings and movements. One disappointing point is that I had that LD, but the top and bottom of the image seems to be cut compared to that LD.

Awesome anime film
I absolutely loved this movie! I can’t believe the history this movie has with not being released in NA, simply due to the quality of what you are getting. I had heard about this movie for several years in passing, and now that I have finally seen it, I am so happy to have it in my collection. The story is very fast-paced, admittedly, there is some glossing over details but it doesn’t detract from the experience. The visuals are amazing, almost every cell of this movie was a beautiful work of art. Highly recommended to anime fans, especially if you love old school anime with Greek Mythology thrown in for good measure.

Classic 80's Anime By The Best
Although it takes several liberties with Greek Mythology, Arion still holds up today as some of anime's finest crafted by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko (Gundam, Venus Wars) and with music by Joe Hisaishi (Miyazaki films). Some cool BTS and Trailers from the time are also included with this American release BluRay.If I were to take a star off, it would be for this: her name is Lespheona, Not "Resphiona" Come on, Discotek, the movie's only been out for 35 years! Still an enjoyable adventure deserving of an HD release.

Epic Greek fantasy!
I’ve been wanting to watch this movie for ages, thank you again Discotek! Originally released in 1986 it’s a unique take on Greek mythology combined with epic pulp fantasy, all done in beautiful hand drawn animation. As with all of their releases, Discotek used the best available print, and included any extras they could find (this time a short “making of” feature, theatrical trailers, and multiple art galleries). A must see for fans of old school anime!

35 Years Of American Request Of This Forgotten Anime Classic
This 1986 anime movie makes its official American home video debut and first time on Blu-Ray as well! This anime classic was not successful in Japan and it never became available in the United States of America until the year 2021. ARION (1986) is a 3 hour movie with nonstop action and the animation is good but not great as VENUS WARS (1989)! Anyway, ARION (1986) is well recommended for people who are interested in fantasy, horror and anime films. So get ARION (1986) before it goes out of print in the next few years! Thanks and enjoy ARION (1986).
