The book was both funny and insightful
The book was both funny and insightful. There some content with a mature rating though, but the wisdom in this book is immutable. its a excellent account of the life of this amazing sage called Drukpa kunley

Good book, low quality material.
This review is just about the physical book itself, not the content.I'm not sure if all the offerings from Pilgrims Publishing, the publishing house, are on thin, low quality paper, haphazardly bound, or if I lucked out and got a bad copy. My copy, while readable, feels flimsy and has a broken spine, which takes away from the joy of owning a good book. Specially one that's supposed to be brand new..And what's with the seller applying correction fluid over the printed price, and then pasting their own price label on it? I guess it's standard practice for some.At any rate, while the content is indisputably worth the price, the quality of the paper, the print and binding are definitely not.Go for a different publisher, if possible.

Good read for knowing story behind phallus art n structure in Punakha
Paper quality is not so good and it seems kind of pirated version. The story is very different from those of the Buddhist Lama's or monks as we perceive. It's the eccentric nature of the Kinley that will amaze and also makes you wonder many things. I feel the Victorian culture not only eroded the indian but also its neighborhoods culture and free mind and Open Ness towards one sexuality . This book shows that dharma don't have to be coated with falsehood but it can be achieved with good heart and open mind.

Interesting
A very interesting book and it reminded me so much of 'the Sixth' (Dalai Lama). The popular image of the Sixth Dalai Lama is of a poet, libertine, and terribly fond of alcohol. Drukpa Kunley is, therefore, not in a class by himself. There were some passages that might jolt our modern sensitivity and civilized attitude and make Kunley a fine case for psychoanalysis (which Sudhir Kakar has done a fine job of anyway). I'd recommend the book to those who have some background in the mysticism of the East and are not seeking the magic and mystery that Vajrayān Buddhism is so infamously associated with.

Very Good Grab
Shipped with the utmost care from India. If you want something, go to the source, I guess. Although this book is Tibetan ... never mind. Thank You!

Weird
Drukpa Kunley joins a long list of men who equate religion with allowing them unlimited sex. Behaps you must be a sincere Buddhist to get this biik !

Excellent
If you have an interest in Tibetan Buddhism this is a must. Compulsive reading - a highly realised Master in a blue blooded male body. You would need to understand this is a way of teaching not sex as we would understand it. Good introduction.

worst production quality I've ever seen in a book
Priceless stories, worst production quality I've ever seen in a book. Type is askew on pages, blobs of ink, just horrible. And yet the stories come through crystal-clear.

Excellent book.
The Divine Madman is a fabulous character in the telling of Bhutan's story. I loved this book and recommend it!
