Funny and adorable
Intially, the writing style really bothered me. I thought it was really childish, but I got over that soon enough. Thinking back on it, there was nothing revolutionary about this book... But as whole, it was a really fun read. I would definitely check out the next two books sometime in the future!

Could have been worse!?
This book was really good except for the steamy parts which I don’t usually mind when they are 2-5%, but they were literally 40% of the book and it felt like a waste of time reading that since it didn’t feel spontaneous, and it gave me a headache. Otherwise, the book was witty and funny and could have been a 5-star read for me. Oh well!

Fun read
“Love is certainly never safe, but it’s absolutely worth it.”Chloe Brown is a suffering from fibromyalgia and is a computer geek with a goal, a plan and a list. Redford Morgan is a handyman with tattoos, a motorcycle and sex appeal. He is also an artist who paints at night which Chloe knows because she spies on him occasionally. But when she enlists Red in her mission to rebel, she learns things about him that no spy session could teach her..It was a cute, witty and mushy romance book. I liked the authors writing style. It was a fun read dealing with a bit of emotional aspects as well but in a really nice way. The characters felt very real with their share of imperfections. Loved the story and it kept me hooked till the end. Overall it was a really sweet and hot romcom. I might as well read the second book in The Brown Sisters series sometime soon !!!

A Heartwarming rom-com.💜
Chloe Brown is chronically ill. She has fibromyalgia and chronic pain. She has shut herself down from all the joy of life but one day after a near-death experience she realises that if she has to die one day, she would like to have some memorable and adventurous moments for the world to remember. So she makes up a list: 'Get a life', which included everything Chloe thought was fun, but most importantly daring and adventurous.Redford Morgan is the superintendent of the building where chlorine lives in is a very easy going and a cheerful man. Totally opposite of everything Chloe is.And what happens when opposites attract?OMGG!! WHAT AN AMAZING BOOK IT WAS!!✨I finished reading this book couple of weeks ago n I'm still drowning with emotions this book has left me with. God, the relationship of Chloe and Red was so heartwarmingly beautiful. It was so good to see both of them grow together as a person and fill-in eachother's gaps.I really liked Chloe's character I related to her in some ways and I felt proud seeing her come out of her shell and experience life, fall in love again and take risks for the sake of it.Talking about Red now, OMG, I fell for a character so hard for the first time in a long time. He was definitely not perfect, but who ever is? But I feel is one of the best book boyfriends I've read. He understood Chloe so well. He was himself healing from PTSD but he tried to help Chloe become a better version of herself. He understood the importance of relationship and life, in all. He tried his best to help Chloe with whatever she needed. All of his efforts, that he put in their relationship was very moving.Talia Hibbert's writing style is really good, you can actually picture everything that you read. The characters were very well built and the language is lucid as well. This definitely one of the best YA rom-com books I've read so far.I highly recommend this if you wanna read a rom-com that's just not about romance.

It was okay
Part cute, part relatable, part urrghh. Can two people have so much thirst about each other non-stop like how Chloe & Red do? I mean, how sick are they?

an unapologetically sweet, tender, and swoony romance
I don’t read a lot of romantic comedies, or just romance books in general. I’m trying to change that because these books always tend to be easy to read and, usually, enjoyable. “Get a Life Chloe Brown” blew every mild expectation I had for this genre out of the water. Take a gorgeously big and lush heroine with a chronic illness and pair her with an artist who has lost part of his art coming out of an abusive situation, and what you are left with is an unapologetically sweet, tender, and swoony romance story of two people who genuinely want to take care of the other. The sarcastic voice and narration of this book had me laughing as much as it had me smiling at all those “aww” moments. And don’t get me started on how much I enjoyed Chloe’s conversations with the cat! I really cannot say enough good things about this book quite honestly, but I’m going to try.I think one of the things I loved most about Chloe, and the author’s portrayal of her, was that the character never questioned why anyone found her attractive. As a bigger girl myself, this is something I struggle with, and the fact that Chloe never questioned Red’s attraction, that she simply accepted it, was beautiful and so incredibly special to me. It was really refreshing to have a bigger character not be self-conscious about their appearance, or have other characters question it, either. All things considered, this was a rather small element of the story and the character, but it was still something I really appreciated, so I thought it was worth sharing. But back to the story: I thought Hibbert did a wonderful job setting up her characters quickly and in such a way that within two chapters I already felt like I knew them heart and soul. Each was distinct, and Chloe’s sisters and Red’s mom are just as vibrant as Chloe and Red themselves. This is my first introduction to this author’s work, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but the sarcastic voice and just the sheer fun these characters have when teasing each other… You can tell that the author had a wonderful time writing this story, as that joy bleeds through onto the page. The way the author, and therefore her characters, handle mental and physical health and past traumas was done incredibly well. Neither character is out to fix the other like some home improvement project; they each are fine alone, but recognize they can be better together and I love LOVE to see that. Also, can we talk about the character banter in this book? Because it was perfection. That is all.I liked this book almost from the moment I picked it up, and that didn’t change as I got deeper into the story. I loved this book more and more with each chapter! The only thing I didn’t like is more of a personal taste, and that’s using certain words during sex… You know the ones! I’m just not a fan of dirty talk in general, but that didn’t even really take away from the build up to those sexy scenes, so it turned out fine in the end, but if you’re like me and get a little cringy with that language, be forewarned. But after reading this book, I immediately got the next in the series even though Chloe and Red aren’t the focus, but Chloe’s sister Dani instead. I loved this author’s writing and these sisters that much! How can I not with the ultra-satisfying ending that Hibbert gave us in this super fun romance? Which is why this easily gets 5 stars from me, and I can’t wait to read more about the Brown sisters!

Me gustó mucho

Great read
my only issue with this book was the pacing, it was really weird. i felt like it was going too fast and yet that it was taking forever to move on.other than that i loved it.i adored the message it sent. very healthy content.i wrote this small review in June and, to this day, i'm still thinking about the book. It's a memorable one and you will not regret picking it up.
