Great Guide
Considering the year of my car (1984) I guess I was expecting something like one would find on eBay, used and worn. To my surprise, the manual arrived in shrink wrap and brand new condition. It’s going to be a great help for the upkeep and maintenance of my beautiful antique.

Even The Wrong Book Is Better Than No Book
I am a sn avid supporter of the Haynes Series of Automobile Manuals. I am not a mechanic, but an empty wallet has forced me to not be afraid to grab a wrench and/or screwdriver and try especially with the help of a Haynes Book. Years ago I pulled the engine out of my 1976 Triumph TR-7, carried it to a rebuilder and put it back in. It took an afternoon to pull it and an afternoon to put it back in, then all of a minute and a half and it cranked right up. with no problems. So I have made it standard operating procedure to get a Haynes Book for every cae/truck I buy. In this case, I bought the 1970 full size GM Book To go with my 1969 Oldsmobile 98 Convertible, they are so close that I went ahead and took a chance. I know there are other shop manuals available, but the Haynes Books do a good job for the guy with out a lot of experience. I do recommend making photo copies of sections you are using, that way the pages stay cleaner and last longer.

very happy
My son was very happy with his manual. He has used it to make a lot of repairs to his car and saved a lot of money by doing the repairs himself.
