Excellent and well researched!
I am only about 1/2 way through this book, but it is so well written and well researched. I am really enjoying it. I have read a lot of fiction and non-fiction about Henry VIII, the Plantangenets, Tudors, cousins war, etc., and I actually learned a couple of new things so far. It's a non-fiction book but written in a way that is easy to read and easy to follow what is going on, etc. Recommend to anyone who loves the Tudors, etc.

review: Catherine of Aragon
This is a new and excellent biography of the fascinating, stubborn and tragic queen. Catherine was a small, intelligent and perceptive child when she was betrothed to Arthur, son of Henry VII and Elizabeth of York. That marriagem when Catherine was 15 and had been in england for serwsl years waiting for Arthur to grow up, ended when Arthur died shortly after the wedding, and without consummating the political match. There is interesting and new information - carefully researched - about Catherine's childhood and the influence her strong parents had on her. We all know what happened after she married Henry VII, Arthur's younger brother and now King of England. Catherine was able to produce just one heir - the Princess Mary - and Henry needed a male heir. He fell in love with Ann Boleyn and tried to rid himself of Catherine, who resisted all his efforts to declare the marriage null. This biography is beautifully written and is intensely interesting. I'd recommend it to those who especially like reading about Tudor England, and to those who just like to read biographies.
