Seems like it can break out a car window
This item seems rock solid. The battery charges quickly by hand-crank and doesn't rely on external batteries. The casing seems solid enough to break out a car window, but I haven't tried. I have not tried the seat-belt cutter yet, either. I'll update this review if I ever get to a junk yard and get their permission to break some stuff. Overall, this seems like a good multi-purpose car emergency tool. The device will mount to sheet metal with the magnets built into the face of the flashlight and give off a red warning strobe. Don't expect the flashing strobe to last all night on an abandoned car, or for the tool to even still be there -- it screams "steal me".My Note 3 cell phone recognizes the built-in phone charger. I didn't test it for long because I'm not sure of the quality of the power output. It would take a lot of cranking, but I could see myself using it in a dire emergency. One thing that isn't a big deal, but could be improved on, is the rubber plug that goes into the port where the phone charger plugs in. It pops out easily, so make sure it's securely in place to reduce the chance of water getting in.

Only one issue
Great tool ! How much trouble would it have been to just put the USB on the tool without the adapter ?

Junk
I bought this for my wife as a rescue tool. Not only would it not charge her iPhone, it wouldn’t charge my Android phone either. And the hand crank was awkward to use and didn’t work very well. All in all, this thing a piece of junk, if I could give it ZERO stars I would. Don’t buy it, save your money and pay more for quality.

great design. Everything is good BUT
I so wanted to give it 5 stars but couldn't.Very Sturdy, well-built, great design. Everything is good , except it will not charge your phone. I have a basic Android phone LG L34C, and try as I might it will not charge.I ran the phone battery right down to 0%, I got my wife to boot the phone up as I madly turned the crank (and I mean with some speed). It was getting just enough power to keep it on, but not enough to make a phonecall. Phone shut down. Thats what you want when you're stuck alone in a vehicle somewhere: to be in contact. I wanted so much for this to work as its a great design, but falls down on this important point. If you turn it fast enough it will say "charging" on the phone for a micro-second but stops charging if you slow down or stop cranking. Sad. : (

Nice
I haven't had to use it yet, but I've played with all the gadgets (except the glass breaker). I bought several for all our vehicles after watching a Weater Channel reporter cut her hand on TV demonstrating one of the shorter handled glass breakers. This solves that issue due to its longer handle and is a functional emergency flashlight, flasher and USB charger to boot.

Really Well Thought Out!
Winter showed up here in Vermont last week with near white-out blizzard conditions in some spots. Coming home on the interstate in one storm we passed three cars off the road within a mile and a half or so. Luckily it was early evening, they were fairly close to an exit and near a cell phone tower. (There are still places here in Vermont where there is no cell reception.) And that isn't unusual here in the winter. Thinking about those accidents really brought home to me just how well thought out this Secur 5 in 1 Auto Emergency Tool is.▶︎ The device is magnetic. Three fairly strong magnets surrounding the flashlight lens allow you to anchor this to the hood, trunk or roof of your car.▶︎ A red flashing light built into the handle allows the device, anchored to the roof of your car, to serve as a warning beacon.▶︎ A fairly powerful flashlight recharges by way of a hand crank. Three revolutions per second for one minute will provide an hour of flashlight use.▶︎ A seatbelt cutter is built into the handle. (Not having a spare seatbelt handy, I didn't test this, but the blade looks sturdy and is well recessed. There is no way to accidentally cut yourself.)▶︎ A "hammer" tool near the flashlight-end of the device is specially designed for breaking auto windows in an emergency.▶︎ A port and included female USB cable with a round DC charging pin allows you to use the hand-crank to charge your cell phone in an emergency. (You'll need the male USB cable that you normally use to charge your phone.)The unit is rainproof (I tested this in the shower) and small enough to fit in many glove compartments or under the seat of your car. It weighs in at just under 9 ounces. The red flashing light and the flashlight operate from separate on-off buttons. Each provides a single level of light.Grandma's $0.02 - Every car owner in my family is getting one of these!Recommended

Does not fully work.
The flashlight works but when you put the switch to the center it is supposed to blink and it does not. Otherwise the rest of it seems ok small will fit in center console easy I just wish I did not have to return it.

Safety first
I have this in my car and feel so much more secure knowing that if something happened with an accident I could easily escape my car. It's also nice knowing I can use this if I see someone in an emergency situation. Easy to use and has a ton of features. What's not to like?
