THE CASE OF THE CRYING SWALLOW

Not a Perry Mason
This is not typical Perry mason story. It feels like the story is left in the middle and it's really a few short stories (only one is Perry mason) that feel incomplete.

Light and frothy
A nice, snappy collection of short stories. All the stories were very interesting. A fast tempo, concise narrative, tight mystery makes this book a nice light and frothy read.

Short Fiction
For short stories, these were very good.I generally prefer novels, but these were worth reading. There are four of them, each featuring a particular series character: Perry Mason (of course), Jerry Bane, Lester Leith, and Sidney Zoom.Enjoy!

Dated
Three stories, the first a novella, each progressively less likeable than the last. The novella is actually not bad; it's practically a regular Perry Mason without the long court scenes. The second tale is a little jaunt around clever ideas and a cocky character who is not Perry Mason. The third is another murder mystery which you could easily skip. It makes you see these stories were originally meant for pulp fiction magazines and should really be read with that in mind.

3 Books in 1
Shirt stories that will keep your attention and make the police appear incapable of solving any crimes. The first story, Perry solved that before the case was even warm. The second story, a con artist solved the case before the police figured out what happened. The last case, a quiet civilian, solved the case and did it just as good as Perry Mason does.
