Pure Lanolin USP and EP Lip Balm Hydrating and Nourishing for Extremely Dry Lips

I had really dry lips to the point they were cracking and the edges of my lips hurt so much. Since I started using this my lips are softer and have not been dry at all. It made a HUGE difference on my lips after two days of using. I now use it twice daily but can be used more often if needed. My daughter also gets dry lips sometimes and I gave her some to try. She also liked it because it helped her lips. She asks me for some often, she is 9yrs old. A little goes a long long waaaay. Will definitely buy again.

I have been having reactions to various products on my lips and have been trying to figure out what the culprit is. So I was looking for a product that has a single or very few ingredients. First I was just using plain white petrolatum, but even though it wasn't making my lips worse, it wasn't making them better either. After some research I found lanolin, especially the purified medical-grade kind. Most of it seems to come in lotion type tubes or big tubs, but this one is a perfect little pot that I can keep in my purse, so I got it. Wow, what an improvement! My inflamed lips felt so much better after applying this product. They have stopped peeling too. It lasts a long time on my lips (isn't easily eaten or licked off) and is very moisturizing and protective. I specifically did not want a product with fragrance/flavor (in case that is what caused my lip reaction), and this has none. Some people's reviews say it smells "sheepy", but I think it smells more like a new bandaid (antiseptic). After you've had it on a few minutes, that goes away, but I don't really find it offensive anyway, since I consider it a medicinal product. Also, some people say the consistency is too hard or makes their lips white. I feel that is because it is a natural product with no stabilizers and the consistency will vary with temperature. I live in a hot humid climate, so that hasn't been a problem for me. It isn't too hard or too soft and goes on clear. I have been using qtips to apply to keep from contaminating the pot or getting hands sticky. You could easily use a finger to apply if you wanted to though. I will definitely buy this again.

I made the switch to lanolin a long time ago, and haven't looked back. I have bought the big jars of lanolin from this company before and loved it, but got tired of doling them into small pots for use on my lips. I tend to keep containers everywhere. So I wanted to try these smaller jars and see if I could bypass the extra re-potting work. These are really nice. The jar is clear, thick plastic, and larger than I expected, about 2 inches in diameter. There's a lot of lanolin in the jar, filled almost to the brim. The screw-top is also easy to use. IF you're on the fence about sizing down from the big jars, don't be! You'll like this more convenient size.

This product is the real deal. I use it at bedtime on my lips and I use it after I have applied my lipstick and I blot it on my lips with my lip liner brush. I apply the lanolin directly on my lips over my lipstick. During the day it is best to blot directly on lips and at night, I apply above and below my lips as well. It is great to use on my eyebrows, heals and elbows (at bedtime). This is great on tender lips. It heals and keeps lips moist better than any other lip product I have tried. I will add that if you have an extra small plastic container you can take a small amount of lip stick with an spf product and mix with lanolin and you can have lip protection from the sun. I use a lip brush and a very small plastic container (that fits in my purse) and I have the lip color, sunblock and lanolin all mixed together to the lip colors that I love, and I do not have to worry about chapped or sun irritated lips.This is pure lanolin and it works well alone as a gloss or mixed with a favorite lip color product. (I have also found that it only takes a small amount and this product lasts a very long time) well worth the investment for sure.

I've tried every lip balm out there from A to Z but they were all just so-so. Nothing really quite did the job perfectly. Ordering this product was the best thing I ever did. It's incredible. Perfect in every way. It stays put, it has a pleasant texture and it does a phenomenal job of moisturizing my lips. This will be the ONLY lip balm I buy ever again. If I could give 10 stars I would.

This winter has wrecked my lips, which have been splitting around the corners and so dry and flaky. I had heard for a long time lanolin is the absolute best for lips, which may be the case, just not this lanolin.As you see my lips are OPAQUE WHITE! I thought it may be that I needed to exfoliate, so I did with sugar and olive oil, but as the photo shows the problem persisted. You can't just use this in public. I tried it a few more times and ended up with white lips every time.Now this isn't the only problem, my tongue goes numb! I carefully apply this on the outside of my lips only with a q-tip. Now, it's just natural to rub your lips together, inevitably leading to some balm being ingested. This usually isn't a problem with natural lip balms, but with this one it makes my tongue go numb! VERY WORRYING!After contacting the company for a refund they said it is "practically chemical-free" give me a break! I don't want my mouth going numb unless I'm at the dentist. Their return policy looks like garbage, and if they had confidence in their product they would offer full refunds.DON'T BUY THIS!

As someone who is allergic to everything but oxygen and water, I cannot tell you what a relief this product is! No additives, nothing unnatural, no fragrance, and by far the best of all this is hands down the most soothing thing I have ever placed on chapped and sore lips. I am extremely pleased. To all my fellow allergen sufferers and lovers of lip treatments, treat yourself, you'll be glad you did.

I have extremely dry lips. This product was marketed for those with extremely dry lips, but what I found was a product that was hard a rock that dried out my lips even further. I can't believe I spent money on this absolutely WORTHLESS product. What a WASTE of money. I am so ticked off, I can't even think straight.
