I am using this device for home internet it doesn't cover a 1 bedroom apartment its weird

Very pleased with this product- helped increase my wifii signal upstairs to a normal level so I can use my tablet and desktop pc up there again. Less than half the price of other extenders.

As a long-time user of DD-WRT on another brand of WiFi router, when it came time to upgrade, support for DD-WRT was a must-have. After lengthy "research", I settled on the D-Link DIR-882-US for several reasons.DD-WRT seems to have limited support of 802.11ax so far, so 802.11ac was preferred. Of the numerous brands and models, this device seemed to have a great balance of speed, price, and support by DD-WRT. Since the construction of my multi-story house requires multiple WiFi devices for full coverage, price was critical.Additionally, many devices on the market are large and ugly. The DIR-882-US is neither. It looks professional and unassuming, and if it peeks out from behind my furnishings will not look like a tacky "gamerz" WiFi device. One location it was needed required vertical wall-mounting, and this has been working well.It is easily 5-10 times as fast as my older WiFi devices. Achieving this did take some effort, due largely to overconfidence on my part because of having experience with DD-WRT on another brand of device. I basically messed-up the first time I tried installing DD-WRT and had to temporarily roll-back the old devices for a couple of days while I diagnosed things and walked through the installation and setup sequence more carefully. Once I had the latest DD-WRT installed, everything has been working very well.Note that I never tried the vendor's software, only DD-WRT.There are faster WiFi routers out there, even faster 802.11ac devices supported by DD-WRT. For my situation, the DIR-882-US router hits the sweet spot for value, and has been an excellent upgrade.

They are robust, professional, designed with simplicity in mind, and look all-business.Pair that with ease-of-use (literally plug and play), and you have, simply, the best little 1Gbit Ethernet switch out there. And it's design is pure old school electronic elegance - you know, back in the day when stuff was made better... The entire body is wrapped in metal - no gaming device plastic fantastic to be had. All business here.Traffic LEDs on the front panel, Ethernet ports on the rear, one small DC connection on the side. How much simpler can you get? :DExcellent job, D-Link. I bought my first D-Link YEARS ago when Lowe’s sold them. I’ve had it over 10 years and it still works but was getting a weak signal for everything we were using WiFi for. I bought other brands and EXPENSIVE ones, NONE worked. So I looked for another D-Link since it works great. Took only a few days to get here, hooked it up and it is GREAT! I will ALWAYS buy D-Link. I’ve never had a problem and like I said, the first one still works we just needed a stronger signal. We run a lot off this and I could not be more satisfied!
