I have a Miniature Schnauzer, and his fur grows fast. I am usually having to trim the fur around his eyes once a week or so to keep it from going into his eyes. This set allows me to do that safely. I use the really small ones. I have used the others, too, when I fully groom him. This set makes grooming him so much easier than it was (although grooming is never easy). I highly recommend this set for good quality at a price people can afford.

I used the scissors for trimming my two Bernadoodles.From the first time I clipped, the large curved shears didn’t slice cleanly—there is a spot where there is a mismatch in the blades and so if you’re using light pressure, the scissors stop before completing a slice until I push harder. It’s a minor issue but not what you’d hope for from a brand new set. I haven’t found any of the scissors to be especially sharp, but they do the job. They are a bit heavy—which is not bad, they’re just heavier than any shears I’ve used before.On a positive note, there are 3 other functional pairs of scissors along with a comb and a decent zip up storage case for the set. For about $20, you get enough product for the cost and it’s perfectly adequate for home use. Just keep your expectations in line with the price you’re paying.

I’m very happy with these scissors. They are sharp, well made, and easy to handle if you have smaller fingers as I do. The packaging is excellent and I look forward to using them for many years.

These scissors have been a life saver! They are easy to hold and cut effortlessly. I use this set a lot and can tell they are durable and made very well. The metal comb is great for thick haired pets and getting matted fur out. The case they come in is nicely made, it zips up and has a stretchy loop to keep each set in place. These scissors have gotten wet, dropped, and stepped on and they haven't dulled or rusted. I recommend this set to any groomer!

I have a 100lb, 12 year-old golden retriever who is a bit unsteady on his feet, due to recent surgery. He can no longer tolerate professional grooming so I decided to start grooming him myself. This set works beautifully! The scissors are sharp, the comb is sturdy and perfect for long coats, and the thinning shears work like a dream.Now, for the advice. If you're not adept at using hair scissors (like me), be prepared for friction sores, especially if your dog requires a large amount of thinning (like mine). My fingers were bleeding by the time I was finished but unfortunately I didn't notice until it was too late. Needless to say, I learned the hard way to protect my fingers with bandaids before grooming...or practice my cutting method.My old boy looks beautiful and I'm sure he's more comfortable in this summer heat without the added bulk, so this set is a definitely yes from me!
