I needed the basics on Gordon Parks and found it in this book. There's a few pages of text followed by pages of his photos. Excellent

素晴らしい写真集です。市井の人々の姿から有名人の肖像まで、ゴードンパークスの作品群を巾広く網羅してます。印刷も価格の割にはBWのコントラスト、グラデーションが良く出ていて良いです。

Gordon Parks achieved fame and success as the only African-American photographer employed by Life magazine in the 1950s and 60s. His work is also historically important--for example, his 1942 photo American Gothic, included in the book, is an icon of twentieth century US photography. But this book is somewhat organizationally random. It includes examples demonstrating Parks' huge range as a photojournalist, fashion photographer, portraitist and documentarian. But I am left without a clear understanding of Parks as an artist and stylist. Perhaps his very eclecticism prevented that--I'm not sufficiently knowledgeable to say. One big plus is the book's lengthy introduction, written by Paul Roth, that describes in detail Parks' career to people like me who don't know his work well.
