TombowMono Graph Shaker Mechanical Pencil 0.5mm, Lime Green Body, R3 (SH-MG51)

A wonderful mechanical Pencil! I was looking about for a replacement for my old mechanical pencils I have used for years and found this beauty. It has a great weight to it and the lead lock feature is great but I found myself not really needing to use it except for when I put the pencil away.I really enjoy the lead advance feature where you shake the pencil and you get a small amount more out of the pencil.The Green color of the pencil is not as vibrant in person as it is on pictures here. More of a "leaf" green than a Neon.

I love sketching things and this is my newest pencil is great. I prefer .5 mm for finer lines than a .7. I also love that you can extend the lead on it with a few simple shakes of the pencil which is very quick and you don't have to change your hold/grip on the pencil so it stays in that comfort spot you were in and can continue. I got mine in Lime Green to have a bold color. Absolutely love this pencil.

I tried this new concept, a cheaper 'shaker' mechanical pencil from a 'dollar' store a few years back, threw it out because the system does NOT work, cheap Made In China junk. Fast forward to the Japanese-made Tombow. What a difference! Works like a charm and the twist-earser in the back works much better than the cheaper Pentel ones at the stationery store chain. The Tombow eraser itself is one of the best 'plastic' erasers out there, no surprise they make a fine stick eraser(TOMBOW MONO) that is pricier than their Pentel counterparts and far superior, doesn't smudge like the latter. Bravo TOMBOW!

This is one of my favorite pencils for writing. It's got a nice fat grip, and the weight feels just perfect.It does tend to write on a shallow angle in my hand, which flattens the lead faster than other pencils for me. but I keep little strips of brown bag paper handy for shaping the lead, so It's not an issue, and likely stems more from the way I hold the instrument then from the way it's designed.

A high quality mechanical pencil. The extendable eraser is something you don't usually get on a pencil this nice. Still prefer my Uni Kuru Toga though, it seems to write a little bit smoother and is more comfortable for sketching.

I absolutely love this pencil. I bought it as my old mechanical pencil is worn out. Unfortunately, it wasn't in production anymore so l needed to get a replacement make/model. It took some searching but thank my lucky stars, l found this guy. The fit, finish and performance is flawless. If l have any complaints, there's 2 and one is not it's fault. #1- this pencil is a bit too slim in diameter for my tastes. This means the eraser is smaller than I'm used to and l haven't seen replacement ones yet. And #2 is related to #1, because its slim, its harder to use with my arthritic hands than the fatter pencil it replaced. Lastly, and this is the best part. The price here is so damn reasonable (especially in light of the quality) l bought 2 when l ordered in hopes l wouldn't be disappointed. I was happy to read made in Japan on the pencil as this was my assurance of quality and l wasn't let down. So go ahead and buy one of these without any qualms you'll have made a mistake.

Ya tenía uno, lo perdí y me compre otro, pero el color amarillo es genial!!, sin duda para mi gusto uno de los mejores portaminas que he tenido.
