Q: The dough hook doesn't reach the bottom of the bowl. Is the height of the mixing head adjustable? There is a screw visible when the head is raised.

I know this is an old question. But just in case anyone else wants to know, yes it is adjustable. When you lift the top back, like you would do to remove or insert the bowl, there is a flat head screw that is visible. If you want the mixer to reach lower into the bowl you turn the screw clockwise (to the right) if you want to lift it turn it counterclockwise (to the left). I would move the screw 1/4 or 1/2 the way around the circle at a time so that you can test it out to make sure you don't move it down too low. If you do just turn the screw back a little and it'll move it back up so you can get it in the right position.

Q: How do you remove the styrafoam packaging from the mixer?

If you open the bottom of the box by simply un-taping it, then turn the box over any product will release and easily slide out.

Q: Does it not come with regular mixing blades?

The mixing paddle IS the regular mixing blade. Smaller mixers, hand-helds or ones with smaller motors tend to have the two blades, and this just uses the paddle for exactly the same purpose.

Q: Is it not possible to adjust the height of the bowl or the height of the hook? What should I do?

YES. You can adjust the height of the mixing accessories. Tilt the head back. There is a screw located in the hinge recess. Back it out a little and it will raise the head, creating more space between the mixing accessory and bowl bottom. Screw it in and it lowers the head, getting the accessory closer to the bottom. Be aware that none of the accessories should scrape the bowl. YouTube has videos showing how to properly adjust the head height. It's very easy.
