Great Backpack, Perfect For Cyclist
I’m a backpack guy. But until now, I’ve also been a budget backpack guy. I finally decided to try my hand at a more expensive backpack, and I am very pleased with the result.I’ve owned many SOG knives and tools over the years, and I knew the company was hit or miss. A lot of their lower priced items were much lower in quality compared to their higher end stuff. I had heard and read some bad reviews of the cheaper SOG backpacks and hopes these would be different. It most definitely isI use my pack mostly for bicycling. I tend to have anywhere between a 10-50lbs load on any given ride. The weight is very well distributed. One of the biggest advantages cyclists will find is that the tool straps work PERFECTLY for bicycle seats+posts. I regularly remove my seat when I lock my bike, and this pack makes storing and carrying them soo much easier (as long as there isn’t an oversized seat or bag). For those who have complained of “no pockets” or “no separate compartments, you are misunderstanding the form and function of the pack. The 4 zipper, 4 strap system works amazing, and offers multiple options for storing items at different locations of your pack while still offering total ease of access.I love the top, protected area. I carry my action camera and accessories in it, as well as the controller for my drone at times. Seems very secure, and I like the storage options.Material is durable, but not the most rugged thing you’ll find out there. I’ve seen stronger, I’ve seen weaker. Probably wouldn’t suggest for super heavy loads. Heat dispersement and air circulation on the back could be better as well. I live in Florida and this pack is warmer than I’d prefer.PROS:Light weightVersatileSturdy4Zipper, 4Strap system (makes many sections)Perfect for bicycle seat postsCONS:Material may wear poorlyCould have better air circulation4Zipper, 4Strap system might leave you wanting for more pockets

Good backpack!
I was looking for a good small-medium size backpack for motorcycling, and ended up buying this (about a year ago) after a lot of looking around. I have a weird thing for backpacks, and wish I could own 100 of them.Overall this has suited my needs pretty well, but the durability has been somewhat lackluster. The most important parts have held up fine, but the cable loops at the bottom (I assume for carrying a small shovel, etc.) ripped out within a few days of getting it. I don't even remember how, I wasn't using them. Probably just snagged on something as I walked by and ripped right off. Also, the zipper pulls for the main pouch broke off far too easily, so I am replacing those. Other than that, it has held up, and seems like it will continue to for a good while to come.Main features I wanted were: compatibility with a hydration system, compatibility with MOLLE, a semi-rigid backplate, and chest/waist straps to keep it immobilized when I'm riding. And enough capacity to carry a small load of groceries. It meets all of those criteria well. The backplate ensures that no matter what I'm carrying, the backpack feels the same and I don't have things jabbing me in the back. The capacity is perfect - it carries the equivalent of a full/slightly overfull grocery basket. The shoulder straps are comfortable enough that I never really think about them. And the compression straps, along with the chest/waist straps, keep it all secure. The hard shell top pocket is a nice feature so you don't have to worry about things getting crushed in there. The extra carry handle on the front, just below the top pocket, is also a nice feature that I use a lot.In general I'm happy with the bag. Slightly disappointed with the things that ripped off, but those were pretty inconsequential or easy to replace. I would say this bag lives up to the price tag.

Pretty and simple bag, not for heavy or tactical use.
I bought this bag for myself, and the 35L for my boyfriend. Packed the bag normally with my computer in the computer area (which is lightly padded, not enough to keep it protected if I dropped the bag), phone, money and cards in the outer top shell, and didn't have a place for my water bottles. I'm used to having a bag with LOTS of pockets on the outside as well as inside. I was kinda shocked at how very few places there are to put things in this bag. There are NO outside pockets, except for the top shell, which looks super cool...but when I open the bag, the simple weight of what is in the top shell drags the zippers open and dumps the contents of my bag, exposing everything. The material is super thin and can snag easily. I doubt this bag would last me a few months. The frame is so hard it hurt my back to even carry the darn thing. Overall this bag looks freakin' awesome, the color is beautiful...more like a bluish grey, and I'm sure it would be great if you used it ONLY as a water bladder bag with some snacks. Other than that, for the price is simply not practical for everyday life use. Sorry SOG, I found another bag for half the price with not only a sh*t ton of pockets and straps, but accessories I can attach to the bag for all sorts of things. Sometimes price does not translate quality. If you're looking for a simple bag for lightweight gear, this is for you.

Great backpack all around
No complaints. Great backpack all around. Study carries well, and has enough compartments and pockets for my needs. After one year still is like new.
