Newman & Cole Garden Broom Outdoor, 10” Stiff Yard Brush with Hard Synthetic PVC Bristles and 4-Sections Stainless Steel Handle

It’s a very simple tool a broom... but not this one... the handle does not fit into the base no matter what combination of the 4 parts of the handle you use... mind blowing.. Me, my wife and friendship attempted to solve the puzzle of the broom assembly are either totally stupid or they sent us the wrong parts to build the broom... either way it’s going back, if your looking for a broom thats easy to build then look elsewhere!

This was a waste of an otherwise good yard brush because the brush kept falling off the handle! The handle has a soft plastic end whch screws into a soft plastic fitting on the brush. They have a very fine thread which does not hold. Unfortunately, the fiittings kept falling apart.I'm a 73 year old lady of average fitness, simply brushing leaves and water off ny paved patio and concrete garden path. This brush could not even hold together for that!I am strong enough to screw things tightly together when needed. In fact, I can't unscrew the handle parts to send it back!Very dissapointed in this flawed design. Don't waste your money!

The shaft assembles easily and the bristles are good stiff, synthetic bristles as you'd expect from a yard brush. It has a decent length - im 5' 9" with a bad back and the length suits me nicely.Only real downside is that the screw joints in the shaft loosen themselves VERY quickly. My recommendation is once you are happy with the brush, use a quality cyanoacrylate gel and put some in the screw joins and allow it to dry thoroughly before use. End of problem.

Received the broom today and the handle is easy to assemble, but the thread to fix it to the brush is not well designed. I initially gave a poor review as I couldn’t fix it in properly. However, with further efforts, it became clear you have to screw in anti clockwise, not clockwise as you normally would.I usually tighten/loosen “Righty tighty, Lefty loosey”. The opposite applies with this broom. Otherwise a very good broom.

It looks like a garden broom it was easy to put together but where you screw the handle into the head it just fell out.loose so it made it impossible to use a complete waste of money . Wendy Smith.

Splitting the broom in different pieces is a good idea but the broom itself, that needs to be screwed to the end part of the stick, for some reason does not get tight, unscrewing itself every 5 minutes. Needed to superglue it and it's still not enough, I'll probably go for a nail or something

I bought this for general yard purposes - cleaning the moss off the path, brushing down fences etc. Its really sturdy but not heavy and it looks like the head will be easy to replace if needed. It was also really well packaged and the thankyou note reminded me of home (I'm a northerner living down south)

It would have been nice if the broom handle actually fitted properly into the broom head. It didn’t. Have returned the item for a refund.
