You need to use all of it at one time:(
The product performs as stated. However, you will need to use all of it at one time because it starts to harden as soon as the lid is removed. Don't expect to use a little and then return a couple days or weeks later and use it again. It will be hard in the container and not usable. I opened mine and used just enough to run a trial test before committing to using it on my main issue. It passed my testing but was rock solid when I went back about a week later to make the actual repair. It was stored in doors in a climate-controlled, so I'm not sure why it hardened so quickly. They should label it as needing to be vacuum sealed after opening for later use.

Not as good as JB Weld - Extreme Heat
This epoxy is more brittle and doesn't adhere as well as JB Weld - Extreme Heat.

Works as advertised but not on all application situations.
Its all in the preparation prior to installing it. Make sure that the surface has been grounded, cleaned, and well prepare prior to installing your paste. I would recommend installing high temperature manifold tape on top after applying the paste to keep it in place as this stuff has a tendency to become brittle and crack from vibrations after a certain time.

Worked really well!
Discovered a pretty good-sized crack in our 40 year old fireplace insert this winter that was allowing smoke into the room. I decided to try this product before resorting to purchasing a new insert. This product was easy to use and adhered very well to the crack. I used 2 for a crack that was a half inch wide in the center and about 5 inches long. With a few days downtime to cool before and cure afterward, fireplace was back in use with no smoke.
