I bought this almost two years ago as a total hiking beginner, thinking, “If I actually get into hiking, I’ll upgrade later.” Well… I did get into hiking. This little $40 pack has been with me on rim-to-rim in the Grand Canyon, hikes all over Arizona, and even Maui, and it’s finally what’s pushing me to invest in more serious gear.For what it is, it’s been incredible. It’s small, light, and very grab-and-go. It carried snacks, a small first-aid kit, and either a light layer or an extra bladder. On our Grand Canyon hike I actually carried a second 3L reservoir in it, so you can squeeze in up to 6 liters of water if you add another bladder (but basically nothing else). When I needed more room I just tied my jacket or pullover to the outside and it still worked. I even clipped my holster to the waist strap for a while before I upgraded my setup.Durability has been awesome. The fabric, stitching, and zippers never failed once, even with heavy use and desert heat. The back mesh is fine—not super ventilated or fancy, but in Arizona you mostly just accept that you’re going to sweat anyway. I did travel with it once as my personal item on a plane and regretted it; it’s just too small and narrow and hard to get into for that kind of use. This is really a minimalist hiking pack, not a travel backpack.The only thing that eventually gave out was the bladder connection. After a lot of use, the adapter where the hose clicks in started to leak whenever the hose was attached. Otherwise the bladder held up well, and I actually found it easy to clean because my hand can fit into the opening (I’m a woman with average-sized hands).In the end, the reason I’m upgrading is not because this pack failed me, but because hiking has become a big part of my life and I want more space and a more advanced hydration system. I’m honestly really grateful this little pack existed – it let me fall in love with hiking without spending a ton of money up front.Pros:• Super small, light, and easy to grab and go• Surprisingly durable fabric and stitching• Can carry a 3L bladder + snacks and a tiny first aid kit• Budget-friendly way to test if you actually like hikingCons:• Very limited storage – once you add layers, it’s at its limit• Not great as a travel/plane bag• Bladder connector started leaking after heavy, long-term use• Ventilation on the back panel is just okayOverall, I’d highly recommend this for beginners or anyone who wants a simple, affordable 4 hour pack. It did its job so well that now I’m investing in “real” gear for bigger adventures like Glacier – and I’m genuinely thankful this little pack got me here

Everything I was expecting. It has a lot of flexible storage both with pockets and elastic outside. It has been very durable and the hydration pack works flawlessly. Very happy with this purchase

I took this on my very first mountain hike. It was perfect. It didn't feel heavy on my back when I climbed a rock wall, or when I hiked up. It seems like it'll hold up decently well too. It's comfortable on the shoulders but not very breathable on the back.The zipper quality is the one thing I'd say is lacking, they feel very cheap. As for the hydration bladder, I did not get a chance to use it. But it looks good quality.I'd recommend this backpack, as it is just an easy to use hiking backpack. If you're looking for outstanding quality - look elsewhere. If you're looking for something to get the job done and to last you some hiking trips, go ahead and choose this one.

I can’t give this five stars but only because I, personally, have not found the “perfect” camelback FOR ME. That’s a very subjective thing and I’m very picky. I should mention that I am a big 6’5* man so how things fit me may not be how they fit you. Due to my own size, I can’t say that any backpack or camelback is too big. I purchased this camelback because the first one I purchased (different brand) was half the price and therefore approximately half the quality.I like camelbacks with 3 liter bladders and this fulfills that requirement. The hose and drinking nozzle work well. The shoulder straps are good (comfort, adjustment). The sternum strap is so far holding up. I mention this because the sternum strap on my old one (different brand) keeps releasing but is not broken.This camelback provides some extra pouches for your wallet, keys, glasses and other items should you so choose. My other camelback didn’t have that but it wasn’t something I was missing either, at least not for my use-cases. The American flag patch is attached with velcro and can therefore be removed should you so desire and there is space for additional patches.All in all it’s good for the price. I got it for the 3 liter bladder and it’s relatively small size. And that it’s black. I always get black stuff. It’s what I do. While not as svelte as many of those cyclist camelbacks, which usually have smaller bladders and/or are more expensive, it’s still relatively slender on the back. The only reason I may opt to not purchase this item again is because there are so many options on the market. But would I recommend someone else to purchase this camelback? Yes, absolutely. If you think that it seems like it might suit you, go for it.

Nice quality with plenty of pockets for organizing. Large bladder for extended bike rides. This is a great product and a great value for the money. I almost spent a lot more money on a Camelback, I’m glad I didn’t. It suits my needs well. This is a recommended purchase for those wanting a great pack at an affordable price.

GREAT heavy duty hydration pack! I bought it to use for the family trip to Dollywood, and it was perfect! The multiple zippered pockets also are very helpful. It’s a small compact pack but it does hold a lot to be so small.

I use it give my dog water at the dog park or when we walk. No more water bottles and bowls. The dogs luv, luv, luv it. They prefer running water to a bowl. Just pinch the nozzle and the dogs run to the stream of water with very little waisted. Some wait their turn but my Goldendoodle just butts in and starts drinking.Three inch fill cap so adding ice is not a problem. never a leak.I do recommend getting a magnetic catch for the hose (Amazon of course). It's so, so much easier to to put the hose away by feel and a click rather than looking crossed eyed to to put the hose in a snug hook.Works so well other dog owners got one for their dogs

dope, works well, hella pockets, comfy. can easily carry a 750 of vodka through the pack, have my steam deck in the other pocket, med kit, hatchet, and all my camping supplies fit easily

Very comfortable to wear I think where people think it is leaking is the condensation between the water bladder and your back as I've noticed I feel wet with it in my back but when I feel the inside of the backpack where the bladder sists it's dry so is the back of the backpack where it's on your back so my guess is it's just their own body heat that makes it feel like it's leaking there is limited space in the large part of the backpack but the other two pouches in the front I can comfortably fit my keys wallet and cellphone and battery pack and probably some light snacks you can comfortably slip a ice pack or two in the back pack where the bladder sits to keep the water cold I can't wait to test it in the summer as I do sports photography it will come in handy while shooting and not having to pause to find my water bottle

nice size and doesn’t move around too much when you run only problem i have with it is how you have to pinch the tip of the straw thing with ur teeth to get water out
