I have a docking station for my laptop which turns it into a full-blown desktop the problem with this concept and this kind of setup is desktop counter space it takes up a whole lot of space on your desk to lay out your laptop just to have it plugged in and never opened up This drawer was perfect for the job it came in a very large box so be aware of that that it's going to come in a very large wide and flat box Made of metal perfect as described in the item description it does in fact disperse the heat the laptop creates My only complaint about this model which is more of a setup thing versus a product flaw is it is very much more beneficial if you can flip the desk upside down and mount it facing downward and then flip it right side up It is very troublesome to have the desk sitting right and try to mount the drawer upside down it took me several hours to accomplish this goal seeing is my desk is incapable of being flipped upside down other than that is a 100% recommend for this product for anyone who's trying to stow their laptop or set up a docking station that can run off a laptop

Installation was easy, Ventilated metal tray and quality slides. Two points for improvement, the foam wrist-rest can get chewed up too easily, and the key and lock are real cheap. Otherwise a nice addition to the home office.

This is a great drawer and it was the size I wanted. Nice and big. Just be careful when you select the one you want. I thought they were all the same, just the size was different, but I was wrong. The larger ones have holes in the bottom for venting a laptop as opposed to the slightly smaller one that is JUST a drawer. I was surprised but elected to keep it as I wasn't worried about the perforation in the bottom and I wanted more space. Just a heads up and why I nicked it a star.

Big thumbs-up to this product, starting with a sane and useful installation template. Lots of under-desk contraptions like keyboard drawers are a major pain to install, but this was easy even without inverting the desk... hole cutouts for the screws make it simple to pop it over the heads, slide into position, and tighten. I needed a thin wide drawer at my studio desk to install a bunch of electronics, and this is made to allow laptop operation... with the bottom panel made of a strong mesh. This turned out to be a huge benefit, as I use zip ties to fixture cables and bits of hardware like HDMI switches and splitters. Tidy, solid feel, and good airflow. The drawer has an easy full-width lip, as well as a foam pad along the front that is easy on the forearms. (There is also a lock, though I haven't tried it.) Would buy again.

Very sturdy drawer, it fits my Pixel Slate and all my random desk clutter inside without dropping down low enough to be constantly hitting my knees on. My biggest gripe (which doesn't really bother me personally) is the locking mechanism. For those interested in a secure locking drawer, this is not it. The key can't be removed once you switch it to the locked position, defeating the purpose. I believe the intent was to keep the drawer from accidentally sliding out at random times, but that never happens anyway. Besides that minor hiccup, this drawer serves its purpose very well and I might be getting another smaller one for extra storage in the future.

I purchased this after a few months of working from home. My work laptop was taking up too much space on my desk. It was relatively easy to install, with the mounting screws included. It was a bit awkward to install upside-down, and I didn't get it lined up exactly right the first time. I wish they would include some kind of guide for where to drill pilot holes on your desk. Another tip I would give to anyone looking to get this is to disassemble your desk if at all possible and flip the desk top so it is resting on its top. This will make the install much, much easier than if you're lazy like me and try to install it upside down under the desk.

Quick, easy installation and makes a clean setup for my Mac Mini. I got the idea from a YouTube video which included a link to this product. It’s very sturdy and well designed. With the meshed base there’s plenty of airflow for cooling, not the the M1 Mini needs much cooling! I’m thinking about a second one for my wife’s desk.

5 stars for Penn Elcom's customer service. 1 star for Amazon's listing/fulfillment. This order was clearly a return to Amazon as it was missing the manual and the key. It was fulfilled by Amazon -- so Penn Elcom was not responsible for the order -- but after verifying my order Penn Elcom was super kind and shipped me the missing manual and replacement key at no charge. Amazon also has this listed incorrectly, as it does not come with any kind of hardware per Penn Elcom, as they don't know what type of material you're installing the drawer on. They recommend reading the manual and then going to the hardware store to choose the appropriate installation hardware. The product itself is super sturdy and seems like it will hold up well and suit my purposes perfectly once the manual and key arrive.

Am able to store my laptop and accessories securely. Stops my kids from messing around with them. Sturdy construction. Was a bit awkward to install by myself but once screwed to the underside of my desk it is more than strong enough to hold everything.

Seem a bit pricey but are invaluable and very glad I bought a couple. Feels like good quality too.

Cajón de excelente calidad y construcción, utiliza buenos materiales. Una vez instalado queda robusto y apenas ocupa espacio, pero podría tener algo más de suavidad al cerrarlo, hay que hacer fuerza para cerrarlo del todo. Pese a ello, es un gran producto.
