Small Footprint, Huge Bass — And the Best App in the Business
The SVS 3000 Micro completely exceeded my expectations. It’s small enough to disappear visually, but the bass output is anything but small. The dual opposing 8‑inch drivers deliver clean, tight, room‑shaking low end that feels far bigger than the cabinet size suggests. It fills the room effortlessly without any distortion or boominess, even at higher volumes. What really sets this sub apart is the SVS app. It’s hands‑down the best control app I’ve used on any subwoofer — better than the one on my $3,000 Bowers & Wilkins unit. The interface is intuitive, responsive, and gives you precise control over tuning, EQ, and presets. Adjustments update instantly, and the app makes dialing in the perfect sound incredibly easy. The sealed cabinet design keeps the bass accurate and controlled, and the piano gloss white finish looks premium in person. Despite its compact size, this sub hits hard enough to shake the room when the movie calls for it, but it’s also refined enough for music listening. If you want a subwoofer that combines huge performance, small size, and the best app ecosystem in the category, the SVS 3000 Micro is a standout choice.

A micro sized powerhouse of a sub
I was recently upgrading my desktop stereo system and with the need for small speakers a decent sub was needed as the sub I had didn’t fit the situation well. I had seen mention of this sub in several audio forums so I checked it out along with reviews on those forums. This was a “used” purchase that was listed as mint. It was actually an open box item with the original packaging intact. It was literally plug and play with the single cable to the LFE port on the amp with the sub crossover on the amp set at 80hz. The dual 8” drivers in a small package are totally amazing in the power it packs. I haven’t pushed the volume to the extremes as it is plenty load and strong enough to rattle the clocks on the walls. So audio volume wise it is more than enough for the room where it is set under the desk. You can use the SVS app on your phone or tablet to fine tune/tweak settings so you don’t have to get down on the floor. It has a 12v trigger to power it up if your amp has the capability. It can also be used to provide all the cross over functions for an amp that does not have a subwoofer preout like vintage amps. Function…check. Value, totally a great sub for the money. Pair it with a good set of bookshelf speakers of even a small speaker like the SVS prime satellite speakers and you’ll be impressed.

Wow!
Every time I watch a movie in my 20 x 30‘ theater, I still get literally blown away by this SVS 3000 micro subwoofer! How it energizes my entire room is beyond me. It’s like the subwoofer is everywhere. I have a late 90s 12 inch subwoofer and it can’t even come close to matching the output level, dynamics, and speed of the SVS micro. Also, being able to adjust the subwoofer using your phone is an absolute game changer. If you’re also an audiophile like me, you will appreciate how fast and musical it is. I have guests over all the time and they cannot believe what they are hearing comes from that small cube in the corner. Just go and buy one. You won’t regret it.

Great sound. Small. Love it!!
UPDATE: Liked it. lot at first unboxing / listening, but it's even better after using the SVS app and my amplifier's corresponding settings to set SVS cub's crossover at 75hz and 12db along with my amp's HPF (High Pass Filter) to the same settings. Wow. From great to can't stop listening.... Compared the sound and performance of the SVS Micro to a Sonos mini subwoofer and a WiiM subwoofer in a small 12x12 room, paired with a Sonos Port pumped through an NAD 16-60 amplifier. Surprisingly good for music listening. This subwoofer is noticeably better than either of the others. WiiM was flat sounding. Sonos sub won’t pair with a Sonos port, so had to link to a used Sonos Amp w/o any speakers attached. Wasteful workaround, and sound is very good but not as good as the SVS Micro 3000. Isn’t as punchy or heart pounding as a larger subwoofer? No, but it punches way above its small size, and is very small compared to other subwoofers I’ve used over many years of budget audiophile listening.

Easy to hook up and sounds great
I tried a few different subwoofers. I didn't like the options for REL connectivity (speaker wires) - when it worked it sounded great but there was often a hum I couldn't get rid of. I liked the form factor of the small KEF but it lacked punch. The SVS 2000 Micro is perfect for my room and my needs - it's just small enough to be more felt than seen, and it adds dynamics to the music. This can be connected via RCA cables which makes it easy. The app helps me tune and control the frequency and has largely been "set it and forget it." It's a great product I'd recommend to anyone looking for a small sub that is easy to use.

Yoda
If other subwoofers rely on the force of size, this little guy is Yoda. I wanted something to provide precise low ends for audiophile-grade music, not thunderous booms for movies. Reading reviews of the dual opposing drivers combined with the 800W of power convinced me to give this little guy a try. Glad I did. Wow! Even though I had measured for size, it still struck as. tiny after setup, but surely the sound is not small after listening. Exactly what I was looking for. It perfectly replicated the big round lows of the oft-subdued standing bass in great classic jazz retaining its rich overtones, and added remarkable color to exotic percussion. I had long been fascinated by the sound of Joachim' Cooders "dumbek" in his dad's "Ganges Delta Blues" on "Meeting by the River" (Cooder/Bhat), but this thing made that instrument fill the room with ethereal sound. I knew the mighty little guy was overly capable when my wife was dismayed by house rattles while I was simply listening Getz & Gilberto's famed jazz classic with the volume set on -18dB. The risk to the marriage was not only remedied by picking up the SVS "Sound Isolation System" (special rubber feet), but the chosen solution further sharpened the sound eliminating imperfect room modes. The SVS mobile app made setup and configuration super easy including the low-pass filter tool which recommended an 80 Hz low pass frequency for my speakers (3D Acoustics 3D8's) that worked well. After playing with it a bit over time, I settled on a 24 dB "slope" setting as giving the cleanest sound thus letting my primary speakers take over pretty quickly above that. Can't speak to pros and cons for chair-rattling theater applications, but this little guy punches WAY above its weight for high fidelity music. Think I'm just gonna call it Yoda as it packs a whole lotta force in a tiny little body.

Easy to Set Up, Great for Adding Bass to Small Rooms
The SVS 3000 micro sealed subwoofer has dual 8-inch speakers on opposing sides of the cube. It's small, light-weight, and has easy-to-use rear controls. I installed this using the LFE jack on my receiver, which means that the bass is pretty much managed by the receiver! After messaging SVS about an app problem where the new sub wasn't showing up, I deleted and reinstalled the app, and both my SVS PB16-Ultra and the new SVS 3000 Micro subs showed up! With the app, it's super easy to customize the sup, and to adjust the sub's volume. I purchased this sub to add bass to a stereo system in my office that uses some KEF R3 Meta bookshelf speakers that didn't quite have enough bass. In my small office space, this 3000 Micro sub provides just enough bass and punch to make my music fun! The sub isn't big enough or powerful enough for home theater, nor for larger rooms. But in my case, its small size and great looks blend perfectly into its setting, and the bass blends seamlessly with my bookshelf's sound. Highly recommended for small rooms where you're not needing a ton of bass!

Integrates QUICKLY. I bought 2, and now somehow need more
I bought 2 of these on a whim, after being frustrated at bass cancellations in my mixing/monitoring setup at work. For careful, reasonable bass reinforcement, these little suckers are a dream. Note that they technically do... something... down at 23hz, but it seems to be difficult to get this wave to converge in a way that sounds cohesive. Anyway. I tried these in dual-config mode with Barefoot Footprint01 and KEF LS50 speakers. Both benefitted significantly. With the barefoots I ran the sub separately and low-passed it around 38-40hz. This seemed to best extend the 42hz-45Khz +/- 1.0dB response of these monitors. Now they sound like full-range towers. Footprint01 + (2) 3000 Micro subs could be the DEAL OF THE DECADE in terms of high resolution studio monitoring $5500 for a TIGHT sounding system with no less than EIGHT 8in woofers. With this setup I am in small-room studio heaven. The LS50, due to the rear-port design, can be difficult to place in a room without bass null. For these, I ran the signal through the subs in/out RCA crossover, and set the crossover much higher- 130hz. I set the speakers directly on each sub, like a mini stack, on top of my speaker stands. The bass [sort-of] couples and the sound is really aligned and cohesive. I cannot WAIT to buy 2 more of these, so I have a dual- 3000 Micro setup at home and in the office. My only complaint is that there is no XLR in/out. Converting any high end system down to RCA is a bit annoying.

Small but Mighty – Best Subwoofer for Its Size!
The SVS 3000 Micro subwoofer is an absolute powerhouse in a compact package! Despite its small size, this sub delivers deep, punchy bass that fills the room with incredible clarity and precision. It's perfect for both music and home theater setups, handling everything from subtle bass notes to earth-shaking explosions with ease. The build quality is excellent, and the design is sleek enough to blend seamlessly into any space. I also love the app control feature, which makes it easy to fine-tune the sound to my liking. If you're looking for a compact sub that doesn't compromise on performance, the SVS 3000 Micro is unbeatable. Highly recommend!
