Bakuman。, Vol. 16: Rookie and Veteran

The villain character IS very forced.

The book came in perfect condition, and it's exactly what I was hoping for. This series is funny, educational, romantic and overall entertaining. Time flies by when I read it!

Bakuman keeps on entertaining me. Every issue is fun, interesting and engaging. I love the way characters are passionate about manga and how they work so hard to make even better manga. Also, it is very interesting to read about the internal process of manga publishing in Japan. Highly recommended manga from the authors of death note.

I haven't reviewed this series since Volume 3, but I'm still reading it, and I'm still amazed. There are new twists every volume, and the details of manga publishing are still interesting, while toned down a bit, with more attention given to the plot. However, it doesn't look like this series is winding down any time soon, there is still quite a bit of development left to do. I guess, unless you're really lucky or as talented as some of the characters have been, our main characters, while successful and talented, still are working towards their dreams, just like being a mangaka in real life. There are a few unlikely elements in the story, but it just makes for more drama. Although a few volumes (after volume 3) have dragged just a little bit, I am firmly hooked by now, and unless something drastic happens, I'm reading this to the finish. Thank goodness this is on a monthly publishing schedule!
