I believe the authors tried to explain both background information and detailed technical aspects of 5G, and they did excellent job. This is a great book that you will learn why you need 5G as well as how you can implement it. This book helped me a lot to understand new system architecture of 5G access and core networks from the latest version of 3GPP standards.
