HENCKELS Forged Synergy Utility Knife, 6-inch, Black/Stainless Steel

My girlfriend recently got the 8" utility and when i was cooking at her place, I picked up her new knife. (All the others were dull.) I couldn't believe it. The quality- the stability - the design. And it was razor sharp. This is the best knife I've ever used.I was so excited about the Henkels that I bought one for myself. It got even better. After using it for a week or so, it's become my favorite knife. I sent one to to my daughter and even my ex-wife (no underlying story there, really, and no I didn't send any coins with it - if you know the story). They love them too. Same one the 8" utility.Well worth the money. No question.I LOVE MY HENKELS!

My large extended family is gathering next month at a rental property. We met for a week several years ago at a different location, and my biggest complaint was the kitchen did not have a sharp knife, leaving me severely handicapped. For this event I chose to buy my favorite and most essential tool, a 6 inch Henckels knife. However, recognizing that this might get lost during travel, I didn't want to pay what I had paid for my top of the line 6 inch Henckel knife twenty-five years ago. I chose to buy this knife. This morning my favorite knife was on the counter, already dirty. My grandson had used it last night and had not washed it. I opened this new knife which had come yesterday and used it. Wow! The feel of the knife was perfect. The heft, the sharpness of the blade. I am thrilled. I have cared for my Henckel knives over the years. I keep them sharp. I only wash them by hand. But I'm thinking about taking my old knife to this gathering and leaving this new one in the butcher block.

I have always had good experiences with Henckels knives, and these are no exception. Although on the cheap end as far as knives go, they are good quality knives, and feel very solid. I love the balance as well, the handles are really well built and easy to grip even if your hands are slippery, and I have fairly large hands and I love the way these feel in the hand. Stays sharp, holds an edge really well

I have a set of ginsu knives that I really liked. They stay sharp, look nice, and weren't too expensive. The only problem- the 6 in utility knife, which you use practically every day, separated from its handle and couldn't be fixed or replaced. Very disappointing. I bought this knife to replace it. It looks similar and although a little large, basically fits in the knife set holder. What I love is it is all one piece so won't come apart on me. Why I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it started to go dull kind of fast. Other than that, I like it very much.

Have used Sabatier, Cutco, and other brands for years. Find these Henkels are superior. Beautifully finished, well balanced, ergonomic sculpted grips and razer sharp blades. These are a welcomed addition to my kitchen.
