Starter fit perfect. installed in 30 min and fired up on first crank. Thank you, works perfect. No headaches. The price can't be beat.

Starter failed
This starter was easy to install. On a initial function check it worked fine. Took my boat to the lake, starter worked great on start up of the engine. spent approximately 1 1/2 hours on the water. Stopped and started boat motor 4 different times, starter worked normally. When I got back to the dock to leave, I started the motor to drive up on the trailer. I noticed that the starter was still on and making a whirring sound. I turned the motor off and could detect smoke coming from the starter. Tried once more to start the engine, starter would not work. Only made the whirring sound.
