Street Fighter VS Darkstalkers: Underworld Warriors

There is a four page teaser at the end of the 2017 Street Fighter Unlimited The Balance where Gill finds himself in the Makai, the realm of the Darkstalkers. Seeing how powerful Gill is, Jedah Dohma offers to join forces. You can also read the 2019 Darkstalkers Rise of the Night Warriors to get a lot more background on the characters. Finally, there is a two pager in the 2021 Street Fighter V Champions Rising featuring Morrigan and Lilith that leads into a long section featuring Akuma in Makai. This follows the events of Street Fighter vs Darkstalkers.The main villain in Darkstalkers Rise of the Night Warrior was Pyron and I didn’t think much of him as a villain. Pyron just wants to conquer, that’s it. I’d say that Jedah Dohma is an improvement but he’s no M Bison. He’s just not intimidating in the least. Jedah teams up with Gill but it’s pretty clear that Jedah is the main boss. Jedah’s plan is to use the power generated by having the Street Fighter characters and Darkstalkers fight to energize a giant fetus. Anyone familiar with the Darkstalkers will know that the roster is split just about evenly between good and evil characters so the good characters end up teaming up with the Street Fighters.I’m sure these books are a challenge to put together because I assume that Udon is attempting to create a coherent story while trying to include every single character. It would be ridiculous to try and include every Street Fighter character, but I can only think of a few Darkstalkers that don’t appear and maybe I just didn’t notice them. The individual Darkstalkers most certainly don’t get equal time and generally the characters that got top billing in Darkstalkers Volume 1 are also prominent here. Poor Sasquatch and Rikuo can never seem to catch a break.If Capcom ever made a Street Fighter/Darkstalkers crossover game, I’d be 100% onboard. If it were a 2D fighter I’d be in heaven. I recently bought the Capcom Fighting Collection with five Darkstalkers arcade games and they really have stood the test of time. It would be cool if these Darkstalkers books inspired Capcom to release a new game. I don’t know how well this book and the previous Darkstalkers volume sold but I really enjoyed them. The plot isn’t going to win any awards, but the art is excellent and I just had a lot of fun in the Darkstalkers universe. It also does tie into the Street Fighter series of you are following it through.

Pero bueno, el gusto se rompe en géneros. La calidad del libro es suprema; la pasta dura, las hojas, las ilustraciones, todo es increíble!La historia es bastante decente y respeta las dos franquicias, además el arte extra que viene es muy bueno, casi dan ganas de arrancar lo del libro para pegarlo en una pared.Si eres fan de alguna de estas franquicias debes tener este cómic
