Q: How do you measure the broken zigzag piece to get the right spring?

You almost have to remove one of the remaining "good" springs, flatten (step on the curvature if you need to), and measure flat with a tape measure. A measurement of a broken spring won't guarantee that you get the right replacement length.

I don't know. That is pretty substantial wire. We only go to 9 gauge

For custom cut springs, we normally require a minimum of 4 and charge $7 each as we cut and straighten each piece and put heat shrink on the ends for "plug and play". We will create a listing for exactly what you need and send you a link. We won't cut anything until an order is placed so you are under no obligation to order. Hope that answers your question. Cathy
