MORE THAN LIKELY DANGEROUS, THERE IS NOT A STAMP ON THE PLATE'S AT ALL. THE PLATE'S ARE VOID OF ANY WRITING. THERE IS NO DISCRIPTION ON THE PLATE'S LETTING THE USER KNOW, IF THERE DISHWASHER SAFE,MICROWAVE SAFE, OR OVEN SAFE. THE FIRST PLATE I LOOKED AT HAD A CHIP ON THE BOTTOM OF THE PLATE, I DID NOT LOOK AT THE OTHER PLATE'S. AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED ONE CHIPPED PLATE WAS ENOUGH FOR ME TO EXAMINE, PLUS THE POTENTIAL DANGER THE PLATE'S MAY HAVE BY USING THEM. THEY CAN CONTAIN TOXINS OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT IS POISONOUS TO YOUR HEALTH. THEY DO NOT EVEN COME WITH A WARNING LETTING THE USER KNOW WHETHER OR NOT IF THEY CONTAIN LEAD OR CADMIUM OR ANY OTHER CHEMICALS THAT CAN HARM THE USER!!! THE BOX IT CAME IN ONLY HAS A SMALL WHITE LABEL SAYING IT CAME FROM CHINA, AND IT'S JUST A PLAIN WHITE BOX. EVERYONE KNOWS IT SUPPOSE TO COME IN A ADVERTISING BOX. IT'S JUST A SOLID WHITE BOX, NO PICTURES, NO DESCRIPTION'S, NOTHING AT ALL IS ON THE BOX. I'M JUST A CONSUMER, I DO NOT SALE OR WORK IN OTHER CAPACITY FOR ANY OTHER COMPETITORS. JUST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT I'M NOT LYING ABOUT WHAT I BOUGHT. I HAVE SUSPICION'S ABOUT REVIEW'S MYSELF SOMETIME'S. I WOULD IF I COULD GIVE THESE PLATE'S 0 STARS OF COURSE.

We have 12 of the 6-inch, 12 of the 8 inches, and 12 of the 10-inch plates. As other said, they will 'scratch'. The scratching seems being caused by the matte finish acting as a very fine sandpaper to metal utensils; add that to them being matte black, it shows more. Scrubbing the plates with a scotch pad seems to remove the 'scratches' (the dishwasher won’t take them off though).Size wise, we use the 8-inch plates the most. The 6-inch plates are too small for much more than snacks (but you could use them under a bowl too). The 10 inch is a standard dinner plate size - we rarely eat that much food in a sitting. The 8, though, is just about perfect for most meals.We also picked up 12 20oz cereal bowls by Danmers and 12 8oz desert bowls from Bruntmor which match these very well to make a complete matte black dish set for daily use (we mainly used plastic before).

Very pleased with the quality. Not heavy, nice light weight. Nice size. Although, was to receive 6 dinner plates, only received 5. Not sure what 5 that was about. Ordered as I noticed does not chip. Hopefully, that will hold true. Very nice looking dinner plates. To me black is so versitile and rich looking

They are ok but the water marks are imposible to get removed.

A good, big, plate for American dinners. If you slap a big New York Strip, or cut of salmon off the grill down on it; there's still room for a baker and some veg. Simple design with an impeccable finish.
