Small cliffhanger after book 1
So a small cliffhanger there at the end but thankfully I already have the next book. This was the series I first found, written by the author, due to an influx of books based on supernatural prisons.I didn’t start this series right away, because I found out that this series was a continuation of three other series in the world of Azar.Since I hate to read things out of order, I picked up all the previous series and began at the beginning with “Hitched” and I was so thankful that I did. Each series contains character crossovers which I love immensely, even though the premise of the story vary with the addition of new characters and their unique location in the realm of Azar.So after, Hitched, there was Darkblood Academy, then Royally Hitched, and now Darkblood Prison. I highly recommend reading the series in order to understand Azara’s family history and to enjoy the humor when she refers to her grandparents, parents, aunts, and uncles, otherwise, read at your own risk and miss on all the fun.I’m off to read book 2.

4 stars
I gave this book 4 stars because the beginning dragged on. I had to force myself to continue reading because the beginning was too dull for me. I however am so glad I stuck with it because the book definitely gets better. I am actually really looking forward to starting the next book.

Awesome!
So , half soul sucking demon, half human, demon sigal that glows, slapped in supernatural prison for killing a whole Fae village. An Angel and a dragon for cell mates. And a vampire make 4. Major main demon has half the prison in his pocket…things just keep getting busier and busier. And watch out when the warlock magic breaks free.I look forward to the second book.

Starts out fast and doesn't slow down!
This is a high octane, heavy story. It starts about 20 years after Darkblood Academy. Azara has an extremely powerful family. Granddad on dad's side is Lucifer, himself and on mom's side granddad is the most powerful warlock around. Dad is a demon and her mom is the first female warlock in history. She is kind of a spoiled brat, but she does have morals and a conscience. She gets thrown in a cell with 2 of the baddest in the prison and even after numerous warnings her teenage self decides she knows better than anyone else. Talon, one of her cellmates, has saved her bacon more than once. The demons want her and it's not going to be pleasant. Join her and her protectors to find out why the demons are after her and what they can do to keep her alive. This is the beginning of a new series, but you would get so much more out of it if you have already read Darkblood Academy. Mentions of her cousins in the fae Spring Court are from Royally Hitched, but it doesn't have a lot of references to that series. I like the references to the previous books and I am chomping at the bit for the next book in this series. These series are books I will read again and again.

Darkblood Prison Demon on a Dime
I love Azara. She is both vulnerable and badass. The perfect mix for a strong character just blooming into her adult self.

Fun read.
I like this author’s different books in this same universe. I noticed that in this one she didn’t say any of the characters made a “capital O ‘“ shape with their mouth like she did a million times in the other two sets I read lol. I will say that her characters are basically the same love story retold in each book and they are always instantly paired with their romantic interest. The female is always the same personality. The male is the same personality type. There’s also the same word usage and sometimes very similar scenes written for them in all the books. It leaves little to imagination for the subplot and can be boring for 4 books. The main plot is interesting and mostly predictable, but it is fun to read. The books are well edited, which is rare for kindle unlimited. I spotted only two errors that were noticeable. Overall, I think they are very creative and well planned out. I recommend if this is your guilty pleasure reading genre.

excellent paranormal book
Azura is in Darkblood because she killed a larger group of faes. However, she doesn’t remember what happened. Her family background also complicated things as her Grandparents are high level Supernaturals

Great story
I enjoyed this story about half-blood demon Azara finding herself incarcerated in a supernatural prison. They said she had soul sucked a bunch of fae but she has no memory of it. She has been housed in a cell with fallen Angel Hayden and Dragon shifter Talon. A Long with vampire Dallas, these three make up The Triad; a kick ass three-some who seem to run the prison. She doesn't want to let her parents know she has been locked up as is ashamed of what she is accused of doing. After meeting the new Warden Logan, who happens to be a gargoyle shifter and a good friend of her parents, he tries to protect her and calls upon her grandfather Lucifer to help her out.She needs protection from the previous demon who ran the prison, who she inadvertently made a deal with and now owes.

Hard hitting
With no memory of what she is being jailed for, our half blood demon has to fight in so many ways...and the a lot of unexpected secrets and happenings make the journey interesting. With a demon, angel, vampire and dragon shifter what could go wrong! A series that hits the ground running and sprints along at a heck of a pace...recommend to have the next in the series on standby.... ;-)

Great fun!
This was a fun read in a sort of silly teenagers are daft and frustrating kinda way. I liked it. Azara is a typical know-it-all teen and I can understand the guys frustration around her, but it's funny and sweet and you can see that it's innocent naivety, rather than malice in the way she behaves.

Supernatural Prison
Darkblood Prison is another series in the connected supernatural world of Azar, though I live how Derosa does a connected world bcoz the crossover is minimal and u don't feel like it's one big storyline each series really is different. If you've read Darkblood Academy then you'd know that the main character in this series Azara is Ryder and Luna's daughter.Azara currently residing with her grandmother Emi in the Netherlands a realm in the underworld but despite being Lucifers granddaughter her identity it kept secret for her safety. Deciding to take her grandmothers advice and go out now that she's turned 18, so she heads to the fae realm and to a local bar. What started as a fun night with some faerie wine leads to her waking up in one the most feared prisons.... Darkblood. It's claimed she, using her demon side sucked the souls of a whole fae village but Azara has no memories from that night but with the ability to suck souls no one believes her pleas. To make matters worse she's somehow landed herself in the same cell as the triad who runs Darkblood in the hopes that they'll just take her out and end her stay at Darkblood. But the longer Azara finds herself in Darkblood the more she realizes something just isn't right in the prison people are hiding truths and she's determined to unravel them and convince everyone she's innocent but getting people to believe her whilst keeping her lineage a secret will prove to be far more difficult than she anticipated.Definitely Recommend Reading 📚
