I don't see what the price tag difference was worth. I compared it to my C750 (The supposedly downgraded version), and I could not see any improvement in scanning distance. Description says that you can scan at longer distance but I didn't find that it was any different. There was nothing scientific about my tests, your mileage may vary. Either way for the price it still worth, for any model, including this one! 🚀

I purchased the c750 and I liked the portability and its performance was satisfactory for the price. I wanted to get the upgraded model with higher resolution censor and better depth of field (12 inches). I ordered the C990. I received a totally different product, not even a scanner, I contacted Amazon and informed them of the mixed up. They send me a C990 the next day. To my horror, the unit output garbled text. I assumed it was a wrong keyboard setting. I reset the unit and spent over an hour trying to program the unit with no avail. I tried to contact Netum but I found no contact phone #, consequently, no live support. Just an useless automated chat bot. I downloaded the full manual and tried every connection possible, they all gave me garbled text. I am sending it back, the time I wasted on this scanner is far more expensive that the scanner itself. It is simply a disgrace to let the customer do their quality control...
