Sew Mini Gardens (Klutz)

Love the idea of an all in one sewing package for kids. We just needed a marker to trace with and scissors. The black felt was a little more difficult to trace on, even with a white sewing pencil.Everything needs to be done- tracing the shape onto the felt, cutting it out, stitching the eyes, smiles, etc, stitching the pieces together, stuffing the items.Purchased for my 7 and 10 year old sons, who have some experience using a thread and needle. They still needed some help with the steps as the book is a little unclear and jumps around a bit. It seems better to start at the beginning of the book and work your way through, rather than pick which plants you want to sew. This way all knots and stitches have been covered as you go.These pieces are SMALL - this makes it a bit harder to manage for little hands. For younger kids, one plant at a time seems to be enough for one sitting. Had they been bigger, it would have been easier to manage.I definitely think this kit is for at least age 10, based on the size and stitches required.

While I think it would be too involved for younger children new to sewing, older kids or people (teens and adults) new and learning sewing will enjoy this. It has great coloured pages, clear instructions and graphics, with lots of ideas for expanding or giving variation on what your making. The final plants are beyond adorable. Very happy with this kit.

Bought as a gift for an 10 year old. She loved it and made the projects right away. Seems like the kit came with everything required and the instructions were easy for her to followIt made some cute little projects. Would buy again for my own child , who is older, she tried to keep it for herself! This brand always seems to make nice quality stuff.

It has everything you need, read instructions carefully, includes full instructional book.You get a desert scene, flower garden and zen garden. Also gives ideas for future projects so keep the book when you finish! Good for adults and children.

Purchased when I had to quarantine and gave them as gifts to my friends that delivered groceries to my home as I wasn’t able to go out.
