Honeymoons can be Murder
I’m just starting book 7 in this series. They’re all easy to solve mysteries but they’re light hearted cozies so I kept reading one after the other. I have 2 left in this series to read. Some in the beginning, I think, are 5*. But the further I go in the series the more I feel the books are getting too repetitive. I’m also surprised that Carol’s sleuthing abilities take her so long to figure out who the killer is. However, the biggest mystery in this book is not who the killer is. It’s whatever happened to Mike’s wife in Book 3. Both of Carol’s and Jim’s kids were married in Marriage can be Murder, but 3 books later there is absolutely no mention of Mike actually being married. Plus, we don’t ever find out if his new wife’s is the missing woman whose family has been searching for her. Instead he’s gotten involved with the victim’s daughter and nothing is ever mentioned about him ever being married or divorced. So to me that part of the story is the biggest mystery in this series. I spent reading the whole book with the question of Mikes wife not being mentioned. It’s a spoiler for me because if a book is a series with the same characters, there should be continuity throughout.

Fun read!
Enjoy reading a lively tale of “mature” ladies leading their active lives and solving mysteries. Love The things Carole doesn’t say out loud.

Carol Andrews: A role model for wives of retired men!
How does Carol Andrews always know what I’m thinking and saying in retired life? Another wonderful adventure with Carol and Jim Andrews with a murder mystery at it’s core. Love the interaction with her family and friends. Totally relatable and amusing to women of a certain age or anyone looking for a great read. Can’t wait to share in her next escapade.

Susan Santangelo does it again!!!
Susan Santangelo does it again! I really tried to take my time reading her latest book, Second Honeymoons Can Be Murder. But I found I couldn't put it down and then next thing I knew I had finished it. After reading all of Susan Santangelo's book you really feel you know the characters, and of course the English Cockers, Lucy & Ethel. Looking forward to the next book. And thanks for the cliff hanger at the end!

Light fun
A light read enjoyable for us 55 and over's. Although the plot was not plausible to me or the whodunit it still was a light read that set up the next in the series.

I would give this one a 'C' grade
The characters seemed jumbled to me. Start to finish the story line is not much more than 24 hours. This one just didn't get my interest, much less hold it. Sorry, I've enjoyed others in this series, just not this one
