Measurement Inconsistencies between TENA ULTIMATE Regular & the HEAVY Regular Pads
Because TENA keeps changing it's packaging (please STOP already!), I have been unable to buy the exact same TENA product twice in a row. Here is the information I would like to see provided in the description of ALL personal care products: this "TENA Serenity Ultimate Pads Regular, 36 count" measures 3.5" wide (in the middle) by 14" long (padded area only) which in my opinion, is a LONG length pad, not REGULAR. Because this is an ULTIMATE absorbency pad, the extra 2 inches makes this pad more bulky than it needs to be. In addition, why aren't the measurements of TENA pads consistent across the board? For example, the "TENA Serenity Heavy Regular Pads, 56 count" are 12" long by 3" wide. This is 2" shorter and 1/2" narrower than the ULTIMATE pads. Why such a discrepancy in the sizing? PS...the pads themselves are fine but the inconsistency in the sizing (aka bulkiness) is significant in my evaluation of this product, hence, only three stars.

Great Product + Price Increase
This has been my product of choice for several years now, for all the reasons stated by other reviewers. The new Tena Serenity pads are reshaped, and I found it difficult to avoid leakage, until I reversed the pad. Now, for me, the square end goes on the navel side. I still prefer the old Tena ultimate pads, and will get them more cheaply at my nearby non-chain drugstore. On March 5, 2014, I ordered them from Amazon for the price of $11.48, with free two-day shipping from Amazon Prime.By March 25, 2014, the Amazon price is 24.94, from an Amazon subsidiary, Quality Health Care Products. They offer three to five day shipping from Kentucky. Since I am living only on Social Security Disability, the overall monthly cost has more than doubled overnight.SHOCK, maybe. There is a new policy for "Select items that are large, heavy, or require special handling." There is no option to order the product from Amazon's extensive network of warehouses. This offloading of an item that is bulky to pack and ship, to a healthcare subsidiary, makes sense from the AMazon point of view, but not from the individual user with disabilities who relies on Amazon. Such a person with disabilities (PWD) cannot make a separate trip to pick up one, two, or four packs of Tena pads, at a local store that charges a great deal more than Amazon's old price of $11.24 (with free two-day shipping with Prime). The new Tena Serenity pads are reshaped, and I found it difficult to avoid leakage, until I reversed the pad. NOT ABSORBENT AS USED TO BE 1 YEAR AGO
Tena has changed their product. This WAS the only pad that I would use. The Ultimate is now equivalent to a minimal or moderate at best absorbing pad. If your needing a Ultimate pad DON'T waste your money. I now use Prevail Ultimate Pads. I listened to another reviewer like myself, who was very disappointed in Tena trying to put one over on customers. We have been loyal customers for years, and noticed the change for the worse immediately.

Great coverage for plus sized woman
I get incontinent when I get a cold or flu and cough a lot. It is miserable worrying about accidental leaks. I have used a drugstore brand that was almost the same size if not larger and had leaks and they were bunchy. These are much better and very comfortable. If you are like me and only occasionally deal with this issue you may not think there could be much difference, but these are better. I wear a women's size 26/28. One hint...wear two pairs of underwear or snug shorts when you wear them to sleep. This will keep the pad from losing contact with your body when you move around. This is the first time I used Tena Pads and the first time that I was sick (Type A flu with plenty of coughing) and didn't have any accidental leaks during the night.

Postpartum pal.
At the recommendation of a friend, I purchased these for postpartum use. I know that's not the original intention of them, but it worked really well and these are a lot more comfortable than a lot of the "overnight" and "heavy" pads on the market. I was able to use the "regular" to handle the postpartum fluids without issue, and actually liked these a lot better than what the hospital provided me with. Note that since you really don't sleep with a newborn in your home it's hard to say whether or not they would work overnight, but for the few hours I did sleep I had no problems whether I was in my pj pants or my nightgown. I will get these again for my next postpartum experience.
