Awesome Binding Machine, Fantastic Customer Support
This product is amazing! I work at a retreat center and I have to bind books frequently for our guests. This machine is sturdy and easy-to-use and it has saved us tons of money by binding books ourselves. Our machine arrived with a motor that wasn't working as expected and we reported this to the Tianse customer support team and they shipped us a new machine in the matter of a few days. They were incredibly responsive. We love this product and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a binding machine!

40 books in and working perfectly!
I love it when I receive the perfect product to get the job done. I print my coloring books on 67lb bristol vellum and it punches without issue. Of course, I can't punch 20 pages as my paper is thicker and it shouldn't according to its specification. It easily punches multiple sheets of cardstock as well as 140lb watercolor paper. Oh, and punching 8mil covers is not a problem either (I punch 3 at a time with ease) Binding isn't much of a problem either as long as everything is lined up. I read the reviews and took a gamble and it paid off. This is a great little machine!

Sturdy and easy to use!
I use this machine to bind materials that I use in my special education classroom. Adapted books, social stories, individual packs of materials for my students to trace or write on, the possibilities are endless! I have even gotten brave enough to try the electric feature to run the coils through....and it works!!! It took me a minute to get the hang of the cutter/crimper pliers, but the instructions are spot on. I haven't really moved the sliding thing that adjusts where the edge of your book goes for hole punching, but it is super easy to adjust. You empty this binder just like you do a hole punch. This one has a drawer like feature that slides out so you can dump the contents easily into your trash can. I have learned that carrying the binder from home to school without emptying that drawer will leave your floor covered with tiny little glittery discs....they look pretty and vacuum up super easily, but be warned...they can annoy your husband! I definitely recommend this product.

Easy to use; hole punch is manual
I write music, and this is exactly what I needed to coil-bind my own scores. No more bringing stacks of pages to the copy center and waiting weeks to pick up the finished project -- only to discover that they put in some of the pages upside down. Now I can do it all at homeThis punches nice, clean holes, and the long side of a standard 8.5"x11" sheet can be punched in one go. I use a lot of "legal size" paper -- 8.5"x14" -- and those require two passes. But everything lines up perfectly, so that I was able to do dozens of stacks of these long sheets with no mis-punched or off-center holes.A couple of modifications would make this a five-star product:* When I saw the electric cord, I assumed that you would just push a button to punch the holes, but that's not the case. There is a manual pull-over lever that works the punch. The electricity just spins a little grooved cylinder on the top of the unit, that assists in loading the plastic coils through the holes punched in the sheets, which is cool, but not really necessary. Motorizing the punch itself would be a definite plus.* Making the unit a bit wider so that it could punch 14" sheets in one pass would be useful. On the other hand, that would make the unit larger, and more difficult to fit in tight spaces, so maybe it's fine the way it is.* Some clear instructions on how to use the odd set of pliers (included) to dress the ends of the coils, would be handy. I had to go to Youtube to figure this out. Finally, be aware that LONG coils don't seem to come in sets of assorted sizes. Each set is 100 (or more) of one size only. Since a set can run you $30 or more, if you need several sizes, this could be expensive. OTOH, 11" coils DO come in assorted sets, so if you're never binding anything longer than standard letter-sized sheets, it can be fairly economical.Over all, a good, well-built tool, which does what it's supposed to do, and does it well.

Straight-Forward, Quality Binder
I like how easy this coil binder is to use.The 2 settings for hole depth (4.5 or 6.5) help with different thickness of book. The round holes are much easier to thread than square ones I’ve used elsewhere. The hole locations are also clearly marked in front (where the paper goes). The punches can be easily disengage led, which I also like. The blue color is a pleasant, calming color. The wide tray is easy to remove to empty and holds a lot of hole punches. I have had some fall to the side if I tilt the binder, so I’m not positive it’s catching all of the holes, but overall it’s a good system. My only area of concern is what to do (if anything) with the fuse spot on the back.

Easy to use
Simple and easy to use. I bought this to put together hundreds of books for a youth camp. It made it a breeze. So glad I no longer have to run to the store every time I’d like something bound.

Solid piece of equipment
This is a solidly built manual punch coil binder. The action to disengage a pin is simple and effective, and the coiler (the only powered bit) is well made.I anticipate getting a lot of use out of this machine.

The paper guide is next to useless
The machine is generally well built with sturdy constructions. HOWEVER, the paper guide DOES NOT lock down properly. Without that functionality, it becomes increasingly difficult to punch paper consistently.Unfortunately, there is no way to get at the assembly. The part on the inside which the knob is attached to is not accessible. It comes with a guarantee and you're supposed to return it to the manufacturer with proof of purchase. Conveniently, they left off any kind of shipping address or instructions. Or even general contact info.Avoid.
