I love both the Timmy clone and the TS clone in this pedal. They both sound really good and this helps save some space on my pedalboard. You can engage each individually or both at the same time and stack the tone. There is also a button that switches the stacking order. Lots of great overdriven tones in this pedal. Construction is solid but only negative is the popping sound sometimes when you step on the switches. This will probably stay on my pedalboard for a long time as I love everything about this pedal except for the popping.

My main gigging pedal is an original Ibanez TS10 which I bought new in 1988 and I still love, but have have many different versions of Tube Screamers. I have cheap import tube screamer clones and very expensive hand made Tube Screamer variations. They all are good but the TS10 is ground zero for me. Does this pedal do the Tube Screamer thing? Not exactly but close enough. Does it do the Timmy thing? I don't own a real Timmy, but again, close enough. It gets you in the right zip code. Now who should and should not buy this pedal. If you are planning to gig out with this pedal, then NO you should not buy it. The reason is there is a very loud and noticeable POP when engaged. Many true bypass pedals do this when you first turn them on, for example my Soul Food does it, but once activated, it stops popping. This pedal does not. Unless you have a volume pedal after it, it will have a sound pop every thing you kick it in and thru a 100 watt Twin Reverb for example, totally not usable.Who should buy it, well, anyone not performing live in front of a audience, like someone who wants the Timmy or Tube Screamer vibe but never leaves the house or garage, or a pedal you leave at your rehearsal space, or maybe someone who is into home recording. Just don't turn it on or off when recording.I play in four different bands and play 50 person bar gigs to outdoors festivals for up to 35,000 people and so I have pedalboards for each different band and the the different types of venue. I actually got this for a small church pedalboard as I really don't need high gain in that settings, but this pedal totally will not do the job.Bottom line, if you are a gigging musician, totally pass on this pedal. If you are a beginner or don't gig and can forgive the loud annoying pop, you might have fun with it.Updated review. Sending it back. The loud popping noise makes this totally unusable.

There is a click when you engage the footswitches that shows up in the amp. That is a deal killer. I've seen other reviews mention it, so it's not just a bad unit. It's too bad because otherwise it is a great pedal. One side is a TS9 clone and the other is a Timmy clone. I will be buying Calines stand alone Timmy, the Pure Sky, to replace it.

Sounds good either as single side, or stacked together!

I REALLY wanted to keep this pedal. The look is fantastic and its fun to use. Unfortunately, like many of these pedals from China, there are a number of small issues. The circuit on this one is all SMT - a bit surprising for the price. You can get a through-hole, high quality component KOT clone for less money. I don't think it was powder coated despite initially looking like it - it was a glossy paint I think - very fragile. The switches also popped pretty loud (through the amp) when engaged, particularly the voice knob. Toggling them on and off a few times made this more mild, probably could have used a few extra components to prevent this (If I remember a resistor on the back of the switch might work but I don't know where).Regarding the tone, it was pretty good. This would definitely be an interesting first overdrive for a new player or someone looking for cheap versatility - that said, for the price you can do better. The TS setting is pretty nice, full and mid-heavy like normal with a nice gain, seemed very typical to me (in a good way). The Pure Sky/Timmy side was the downer, the highs control was more of a 'bite' control and never really opened up the high end. The lows and gain worked fine, but I also found the pedal really didn't like being stacked in green mode (guessing TS into Timmy), so the voice option was a bit of a waste too. If the tone stacks of either had been a bit more open, and the Timmy responded better to being hit with the TS (or whatever the green mode is - red mode was fine) I think I would have been tempted to keep it.As it is, the TS is a bit too traditional for my setup and the Timmy was too rolled-off on the highs - not as much as the TS but enough to not be transparent and make a noticeable difference when running between transparent pedals.I'd love to see a higher quality, through-hole version of this that gets rid of the voice option in favor of a more open EQ on the Timmy and more open option on the TS. It was like all they needed was a bright switch or something that could let more high end through without shaping it so much. I almost kept it just to use the enclosure/knobs for something else!

Good quality dual overdrive in a nice tight package great for blues and classic rock, but it is by no means a mid or high gain pedal. Don’t let the scull fool you. That being said if you are looking for a lower gain with the advantage of a tube screamer type pedal in a small footprint it’s a good one.
