Couldn't Recommend More.
I have been a dedicated follower of Danielle and her ventures for a couple of years, always eager to see what she would produce next. When she announced the publishing of a book I was ecstatic - so much so that I finished this book in a little over 24 hours. It was everything I hoped it would be and more. Sexy, charming, admirable. This book offered a glimpse, and often a little more, into the becoming of Danielle Bernstein. It was amazing to see how she built her career purely on determination, pursuing her dream, and mostly passion. I need a second book asap! I don't care what it is about, I just love her style of writing. Well done Danielle, a truly amazing book.

Lighthearted feel good read
Literally didn’t put this book down and finished it in 2 days. Each page wants to make you know more about Danielles life and her truely funny with (wtf!) stories. If only we could have a bit more balls like Danielle. Great read.

Inspirational and very enjoyable book. Loved every chapter
Hooked from the first chapter. An easy read that you can get lost in, in the best way possible.

Read it in one sitting
I am both fascinated and in admiration of Danielle and her thriving career. I have followed her on social media for years and I am a fan of hers - her book is incredibly entertaining and enjoyable to read. It occasionally feels like she is trying a little too hard to to portray herself as an iconic, sex and the city-type character, but nonetheless her extensive metaphors and similes make for a more entertaining read. I think she may have been disingenuous when she said this book would be totally honest and speak about all aspects of her life, even the ugly bits which didn’t necessarily portray her in the best light. Although she discusses things like her failed shoe line, she makes no reference to big scandals like when she allegedly copied someone’s jewellery line. I understand she can’t discuss everything, but ignoring major career mishaps such as this means this book, and Danielle, lack an authenticity which would’ve made it totally inspiring. Like her confidence (or arrogance and entitlement, you decide) or not, she’s an impressive woman and there are many lessons you can learn by reading her book.

OK!! easy read
Firstly, I want to state that I am a MASSIVE fan of Danielle, I am in awe of her business prowess and am the first to defend her as so much more than an 'influencer'. She's epic. The book is super easy to read and a page-turner - which she needs to be applauded for because it's easy to write a boring book. Also, the first half I genuinely found insightful and interesting - whilst I have followed Danielle for years (and I mean, literally since 2012) and know her story, it was great to find out more in detail. All that being said, as the book goes on it seems to get a bit lighter, and yes the grammar and spelling slips, which is disappointing. For me, the main point comes at the beginning when she says (don't worry, not a spoiler), that she wanted to write a sex book and was told by her friends to write a business book. I know she thinks it was about not showing 'that side of her,' but to be honest the sex / boyfriend bits (normally my favourite thing to read just FYI) felt a bit indulgent and got quite repetitive. What IS interesting are her business chapters. I know the 'love' mistakes is a big part of her but I feel like we could have done a chapter on the boys and more depth on the business. Obviously this is a personal opinion as many people are going to love the boyfriend bits, but they didn't quite work for me.I've read a lot of these reviews as I wanted to check whether it was worth buying, and to be honest the bad reviews really scared me. I think the mean ones are, well mean. Yes she comes from money, but I don't think she exactly ignores the help she had. Yes, you should expect some of her writing to be insensitive and privileged (e.g. comparing an Easy Jet flight to Guantanamo LOL), but largely she demonstrates being a f-ing go-getter. I am sure you can find inspiring parts of her story. AND she talks about bitch work!! That chapter alone is worth giving her credit. This book isn't exactly going to win awards, but it IS a fun and often inspiring read (especially during quarantine) - just don't get upset when it doesn't change your life.

Love it
Really wanted to get a paper copy but kept getting delivery related errors... After many tries I decided just to get an audio version. Listen through it all pretty quick as it kept me wanting to know more! Fashion, business, love, mistakes.. everything very real! The fact that it is narrated by Danielle itself brings it up to the next level. Feels like I been listening to her life story through zoom, during a friendly chat. Very well done! Absolutely loved it!For everyone judging & saying “poorly written”, please keep it mind that THIS IS NOT A FASHION STORY, this is Danielles story, so it does not have to be written the same way as all the book you read before.

A must read for a 20 something woman
I loved it.. all if it, the success stories and the love stories, how Danielle Bernstein revieled the good and the bad ,both of her bisness life and so much of her personal one.. it felt like a modern version of Sex and the city.. with a The Bold Type Sutton entern phase that grew into a strong woman knowing her worth ♥️ it is nice to read that someone who has always been ambicious in her buisness can fail (for the lack of a better word) in her love life .. but we live and we learn ...and that is inspiring!

Danielle is fun and honest
I follow Danielle online and I wanted to read about her life story. This book zeros in on all of the things you didn’t expect to hear - and us really a tell all. Which is relatable, honest and truly inspiring! If you don’t follow her, please do. A fantastic read and influencer.

This is not a fashion story, is the story from Danielle
I read her book twice, I had bought it in advance, but I got so anxious that I ended up buying it in apple books! But my book arrived these days and yesterday I read it all over again, all at once 💕

Read it for what it is and you will love!
First, just to preface this, I’m not a personal friend of Danielle’s, nor do I aspire to be an influencer or to work in fashion. I wasn’t going to write a review at all despite the fact that I loved the read, but having read some of these, I feel like I have to add my 2 cents.I’m astounded by the abundance of negative reviews citing that danielle is extremely unrelatable or too privileged to write this book. I felt like she was grounded and real (and happened to eat at good restaurants and party at hot clubs along the way - it’s her story!). When talking about her parents divorce, she totally admits that she came from a comfortable family - not the wealthiest on the block, but certainly in a wealthy zip code. She then says that divorce came with some belt tightening - please show me one child of divorce that can’t relate to that. That spoke to me for sure - literally as though we were discussing our lives over cocktails. In terms of people disappointed that they didn’t get a literal playbook for success, perhaps entrepreneurship is not for you. If anything, this book should have taught you that there isn’t a playbook if you’re an entrepreneur, but there are best practices like vetting your business partners and reading the fine print (which danielle communicates to us in the form of relevant anecdotes from her life).I think people lost a bit of perspective when evaluating the book. It’s sweet and funny in the way that satc or gossip girl are, it’s an easy read that you breeze through. Is it literary genius? No, but why someone would expect that from a 27 year old girl whose job it is to sell us product (obviously oversimplifying) is beyond me. I literally teared up at the end because reading about the growth and concurrently watching it unfold real time has been inspiring. The story of a girl who hustled to create something this massive (aided by a fairy godmother or not) is inspiring! The fact that she’s grown up and has matured and has become passionate about giving back is also inspiring! Could she have included some more scandalous business bits like the jewelry line (which I personally was expecting to read about because I had just started following her around then), sure, but I certainly didn’t feel like I was left high and dry after reading this book.I’m a financial consultant and there was plenty in this book that I could both relate to and was inspired by - check your expectations and read the book! Enjoy it for what it is!
