Interesting!
It's good to check this book out when you're in the mood to read horror that's not too intense but still neatly written to retain your interest.

One time read
Nothing great about the book. Horror element is less. Only few pages were bone chilling. Short read. It's a 100 page book.A young woman’s night-time escapade goes eerily wrong. A man is forced to relive the horrible accident that tore his family apart over and over again. An underground thrill through ancient catacombs proves disastrously horrific. A young boy is haunted by the scarecrow in the fields behind his home. And a woman is revisited by the ghost of a psychotic killer in the most dreadful of ways.Scare Street brings you some of the best short horror stories by authors Ron Ripley, David Longhorn, Eric Whittle, Sara Clancy and A. I. Nasser, all in one book. Together, these stories promise more than just a shiver down the spine and a fear of the dark, but the soft caress of terror that comes with the unknown and the unexpected.

Very entertaining. Eloquently written. Not too scary but unputdownable. I liked all the books.

An interesting selection of stories, some better than others
The stories read so far have been fairly entertaining. Short horror stories, which I cannot say anything about, without ruining the story for you. I will say that they are very different, so try the next one, if you don't like the one that you're reading. The only niggle was a story set in the UK which appeared to be written by an American.I found it very annoying when words like soccer, railroad and bills were used. Also, though 'cops' is used in the UK, we use police, 'the old bill' and other terms far more often than 'cops'.The wrong vernacular ruined that story for me.Should there be more irritations in the remaining stories, I'll adjust my review accordingly. In this books favour, I haven't found a lot of spelling mistakes. This problem has ruined other books for me.

A great collection
I really like anthologies, largely because they're a great means of getting to know a whole bunch of authors in one go, and maybe even find some new favourites. And man, did I find a few new favourites in this collection. The stories are dark and brooding, all exploring very different subject matter, the writing is solid and the creeps are real. I especially liked the stories by Ron Ripley (who I've only recently discovered but really enjoy) and Sara Clancy, whose story kept me on the edge of my seat throughout.Going to be looking for all of these authors in future - this is a great collection.

A very disturbing collection
Now this is how to do horror! This collection of short stories will definitely make you feel uncomfortable. Containing offerings from the awesome Ron Ripley, I was immediately sold on this anthology. The thing I like about this, is that the word horror has been used to its full description. The stories aren't just about supernatural elements, but also about what we interpret as horror in our everyday lives. Without adding any spoilers, The Scarecrow is a particularly dark story of this description. There are a couple in this book that tend towards a more generic theme, but all in all, this is outstanding and a must read for fans of this genre.
