Hill House Living: The art of creating a joyful life – simple, practical decorating tips and cosy recipes

I do love this book. I know that there are many books out there that appear to be similar, however, this one really does stand out. It is colourful and jolly. The author isn’t a bit preachy, instead, offering suggestions, along with a very readable narrative. It can be hard to express your true self within your home, and much easier to follow minimalistic trends, or whatever is in fashion at a particular time. Paula Sutton gives out a very different message, which isn’t stated as such, but shines out through the photography,and beautifully written narrative.

I follow Hill House Vintage/Paula on instagram and have been looking forward to this book release. This is a lovely gentle read with lots of hints and tips on creating a home style that is comfortable and authentic. I enjoyed her writing style and thumbing through the pages with beautiful photos. I am a complete novice when it comes to interiors and found this book so helpful in better understanding what I like with historical context around periods in architecture and style. Would highly recommend.

I brought this gift as a Christmas gift for My Mother, I also have to buy another copy for my best friend as they are both fans of Paula.Great book I purchased the hardcover version, very creative, great ideas and a great read.

I have followed Paula on Instagram for the past year so treated myself to this book, I’m not disappointed, lovely hardback book, beautiful photographs and illustrations, lovely read sat with your feet up, cup of tea and cake, throughly enjoying

I absolutely loved the book. The way Paula writes and her positive outlook on life leave you feeling quite refreshed.Great tips and sensible advice encouraging me to slow down a bit and take time for myself.I especially loved her philosophy on not waiting to use your best as you never know what's around thr corner.

I was excited to get the book. She has a really nice insta feed. But just a lot of waffle and padding. The images mostly close ups of small details and generic country living “ideas” like drying your own pot pouri and making a Victoria sponge.

This book is exquisite! It’s far much more than an interior design book, it’s one’s attitude to life, making the most of what one has already and available and turning it into something joyful which adds happiness to all of us. She encourages us all to be a joy seeker! A must read👍

Nice book if you are a complete novice! But very old stuff nothing new at all. Very disappointed.
