The shape of the end allows you a lot of flexibility in how you use it instead of just having a single boxy end. The positive reviews for this product are well deserved and it is a good step up above cheap spatulas.The spatula that came with my Phrozen Sonic Mini 4K SLA resin 3D printer did the job but left scratches on the build plate, this BuildTak hasn't left any new marks and does a far better job.The spatula has a slight wedge shape allowing it to have a very thin end while remaining strong as a whole as it gets thicker towards the handle. The wedge also allows you to slide it further under something to apply a very gentle force to help remove something instead of needing to pry and force with a cheap alternative.

This tool is fantastic! I've tried several different spatulas for print removal and been frustrated. This one works extremely well. The edge is narrow enough to slip under the print easily and the main section of the blade is sturdy enough not to bend. The larger surface area makes it much easier to break the seal between the print and the bed.My only regret is that I didn't find this tool sooner. It would have saved me lots of scraped knuckles that came from using the inferior alternatives. This is well worth the slightly higher cost!

I bought on a whim and it's actually incredibly useful. Much easier to remove prints from the bed of my 3D printer than the palette knifes I was using previously. The shape allows you to get much more leverage without busting your knuckles up when the part finally goes flying.

This is one of those odd tools that are only really useful for 1 purpose. And it does that pretty well. I was expecting maybe just a slight bit more of an edge on some parts to get under the printed piece. But it does work well. I still find myself going for the spatula/scraper that came with my Monoprice/Wanhao i3. I think this tool just needs quite a bit more practice with it for it to truly shine. So this rating might be partially a rating of my ability as well as the unit itself. Even still though, I'm rating it on how easy it is to remove 3d printed pieces.

Hard to believe that there is a difference in spatulas but there is. I have a set that I bought on amazon that may work for small printers but I have a big one and this works amazing. I also bought some from home depot but they were either crazy to tough or too weak. The metal part goes up into the handle so it feel very secure. Th 90 degree turn makes it so you can apply pressure parallel to the build surface helping you pop the print off. Like one other review stated it is sort of thick so you may need to get a little separation started with something else first, but for the most part this works great.

It's a very high-quality and well built tool, but it's much too thick to be useful. It's half a millimeter thick and has no discernable taper or edge (I would almost suspect a manufacturing error since this is really a pretty major oversight). If I have a half mm gap, I could stick just about anything under there and don't really need a fancy custom spatula.A bit of grinding made it useful and the shape and handle placement are very nice. But, it should come with at least some sort of edge on it.Honestly, I have a 1.5" putty knife that I rounded out and put an edge on and it works much better than the OOTB spatula and just as well as the retooled one.

Have used this for a couple of weeks now with my new Flashforge Creator Pro. Was recommended to me by a friend with the same. I'm glad I listened to her. I first thought I wouldn't need it, but the offset handle makes a lot of difference, especially working in the enclosed structure of the Pro. Feels nice in the hand and seems decently made.

This spatula is the perfect thing for removing prints from a 3D printer's bed. The ergonomics of this tool allow you to put all of the pressure at the tip of the spatula to easily get under the edge of stubborn prints. I've so far used it to release ABS from glass, Nylon from PVA prepared glass, PLA from painters tape, and PLA from BuildTak. It performed flawlessly and without damaging the prints. It seemed a little expensive when I purchased it for what it is but its such a perfect tool that I'd buy it again at that price any day!

Zunächst war ich von der Form beim Anblick etwas verwirrt. Aber ich muss nach einigen Wochen sagen, dass ich für meinen 3D Drucker nie wieder einen anderen Spachtel haben möchte. Die Handhabung und die Verarbeitungsqualität sind perfekt. Daher ist das Ding auch teuer.

J'ai acheté cet article pour décoller mes impressions 3D du plateau (ultrabase en verre sur Artillery X1 qui adhère vraiment beaucoup).La prise en main est très bonne et ce manche a 90° permet de bien accéder à la pièce.Mais, dommage que la lame de cette spatule soit épaisse (presque 1mm), pour des impressions bien plates qui collent très bien à mon plateau, je n'ai aucune ouverture pour y glisser la spatule, j'ai d'ailleurs abimer une impression en faisant levier.Du coup ponçage en règle pour faire des bords plus fin et là ça va beaucoup mieux.

Jeder der sich mit dem 3D Druck beschäftigt, kennt sicher das Problem des Warpings aufgrund einer unzureichenden Oberflächehaftung des zu druckenden Objekts.Hier gibt es viele Glaubenskriege welche Druckunterlage man nun verwenden soll.Der eine verwendet Glas, der andere greift zum klassischen Malerkrepp oder BlueTape genannt, gerne auch noch mit Pritstift bestrichen, oder direkt aufs Alubett mit Haarspray drunter....Und dann gibt es da noch die Dauerdruckunterlagen wie z.B. die klassische Buildtak Druckbettoberfläche.Jeder der sie schon mal probiert hat kennt die super Haftung.Da braucht es teilweise noch nicht mal mehr ein beheiztes Druckbett.Vor allem wenn die Nozzle sehr nah Richtung Druckbett justiert ist haftet das Filament wie Hölle an der Oberfläche.Dabei ist es egal ob es sich nun um original Buildtak handelt, oder die Oberfläche von Anycubic, Lokbuild etc.Im Prinzip sind diese aufklebbaren Matten alle gleich.Ja und? Super endlich keine Schmierereien und Experimente mehr mit Druckbettbeschichtungen wird der eine oder andere sagen.Ja Mist, denn das Objekt haftet nun so toll auf der Oberfläche dass man es nicht mehr ab bekommt oder seinen halben Drucker beim Versuch demoliert und sich jede Kalibrierung total zu nichte macht. Manch einer kratzt dann mit Messer und allem möglichen rum um das Objekt zu lösen und ruiniert sich direkt nach dem ersten Druck die Beschichtung.All das muss nicht sein, denn Buildtak hat sich hier was geniales einfallen lassen, nämlich den Spatula. So simple und doch habe ich sowas noch nirgends entdeckt.Problemlos habe ich bis jetzt all meine Drucke von meiner Anycubic Druckunterlage damit abbekommen.Der Spatel zerkratzt und beschädigt weder die Oberfläche noch das Objekt.Durch den ergonomischen Handgriff liegt der Spatel super in der Hand. Außerdem liegt er durch seine Form plan auf dem Druckbett auf und muss nicht schräg an das Objekt geführt werden mit der Gefahr die Oberfläche zu zerkratzen.Er ist dünn und vorne abgeschrägt, so dass man ganz einfach unter das Objekt drunter kommt und es mit ein wenig hin und her fahren Stück für Stück gelöst bekommt.Ja das Teil ist natürlich etwas teurer als ein normaler Baumarktspachtel und auch ich habe mit mir gerungen ob ich nun wirklich 25€ dafür ausgeben soll.Denkt nicht drüber nach denn das Geld ist gut investiert, wenn euch der Spatel davor bewahrt euch alle Nase lang eine neue Buildtak Folie zu kaufen die ja auch nicht gerade günstig ist.Stressfreies lösen eurer stundenlang heiß erwarteten Dauerdrucke ohne sich am Ende darüber zu ärgern wenn das Objekt beim ablösen kaputt geht.Absolute Empfehlung und Tipp meinerseits!Kauft euch eine Buildtak Folie und diesen Spatel und freut euch über das Geld das ihr spart wenn ihr keinen Prittstift/Malerkrepp und ähnlichen Kram mehr kaufen müsste und ihr bei jedem Druck mit einer super Haftung und sauberen Ergebnis belohnt werdet.

I didnt like using it at first because I like the stock ender 3 v2 spatula because it is sharper but this one is more safe to use and after months of using it I would actually recommend it. Its a bit blunt and thick compared to the ones that come with 3d printers so that will take a bit to get use to but it is worth it in the end.
