When we first got this my dog absolutely loved it and we were really pleased with the purchase. The first couple of times he used it we had to guide him to just lick it rather than try to scrape it with his teeth and all was fine once he got the hang of it. He then became really subdued and his lip and gum swelled right up. We took him to the vet and a little nodule had got lodged in his gum causing him a lot of pain and a big vet bill.

Bought the product to occasionally aid my 4 month old cockapoo puppy with her eating. While the product itself is great after the first couple of uses I noticed some of the nodules missing.After just the 4th time of using it I am having to throw it away as parts are now coming away in pieces and the dog is at risk of ingesting them. Outside the returns date but for this to have to be replaced so quickly and with such little use is not good

Only a month after purchase and the bits have come off, my dog is 16 with no teeth so definitely not due to chewing!! I also have only hand washed so not been through dishwasher although it says you can. I've been using these mats for years and I wouldn't of said this tougher one is any better than the cheap ones... overpriced for what your getting but a good distraction for dogs who don't chew it. ..

It took a few moments of my turned back for my soft mouthed Labrador to destroy this. I don’t leave them with the dogs and normal likkimats are fine. My dog will pick up the likkimat which is why I tried this one, to remain in place. It didn’t and she chewed it. One use and in the bin.

Can write this review without hesitation as we now have all the different licki mats! They are fab, slow our pup down when eating, great for boredom busting treats like mashed banana or ‘Bob and lush dog gravy’ (frozen onto them). Thoroughly recommend.

Love the Lickimatt range, we have a couple and use them mainly for distracting our dog when brushing/towelling and washing! He loves them covered in mashed banana, peamutt butter and a little bit of yoghurt!Although, my only gripe would be, if I didn’t have a dishwasher, cleaning it would be an absolute nightmare.

Pretty sturdy in that my destructadog has chewed/damaged one corner but it's standing up to doggy abuse quite well. When he sees me loading it he stands very patiently then scrambles and bounds to his bed or feeding corner to receive it. I use it for bedtime, when I have to put him in bed for some quiet-time or if he's restless and I can't take him out to play or walk. Works a treat. Would buy again. Definitely recommend.

My dogs are loving the lickimats and I love that I can put them in the dishwasher to clean. They are sturdy too.
