Affordable and Reliable
This is an EXCELLENT device for transferring files from one computer to another. I copied 165,000 files from my Windows 10 computer to my new Windows 11 machine. The process was very easy and reliable. I read some reviews that the transfer rate is slow but I found it to be very acceptable. The alternative is to copy all the file to a flash drive then move them to the new system of you have to buy expensive transfer software and transfer cables. For the price, you can't beat this device. It works and make the job of populating the new system with your data very manageable. I would recommend that you try this device first. You can't go wrong for the price!

4 laptops are now 1
Easiest thing ever. After purchasing my my laptop i took the 3 older laptops that i kept saying i would get all the pics, vids, and music off of and i did just that. it really is just plug and play. took about 15 min per laptop to get all i needed out of each of them. Super simple

Works to connect windows 7 and windows 11 computer to one monitor
works good so far. One thing I do not like is that it does not use the name of the computers in the file windows. I have transferred large files between an old computer and a new computer with no problems. A note in the booklet that is with the devices says not to connect it to the front USB ports because there might not be enough power, but I have had no problems. You just plug the device into a USB port on each computer, run the program on each computer, and move files around. No software installation is needed. Quite simple to use.

Does not work on my Win10 laptop; turns out to be a known issue
The device is rated for Windows 2000 thru Windows 10.It does not work on my Windows 10 laptop (although, oddly, it does on my Windows 11 laptop). After I plug in the device, when I double-click on the icon or open with the right-click menu, a folder opens for about 1 second, then closes. I have found no way to make the window/folder stay open. The underlying software(?) is called EasySuite; at least, that is the name shown on the icon that appears in my MyComputer drive when I plug in the USB. Note that this name is not displayed on the amazon.com webpage for the product. An internet search using the product name and EasySuite came up with one or two MS Help pages with the EasySuite name. Users were complaining that with a then-recent update to Win10, the product no longer worked. The same behavior (a window/folder flashing for a second, then closing) occurred. I tried the solutions suggested in the responses but they did not work. (I'm assuming that we can't include links in these reviews, so if you want to see the MS Help pages, use a google search term like "easysuite data link does not work".)In short, the seller is attempting to sell a product that, at least for some people with Windows 10, does not work.I sent in a question using amazon's Q&A feature, but amazon reported to response, including from the seller.PS: Another point. The box says "driver-free" and includes no CD-ROM. But the box also says "Win 7/8/10 driver available". Which is it? And I could find no driver online.

Plug and Play
Super simple method to transfer files from one computer to another. Plug USBs into both computers, Windows recognizes the device as a CD drive. On both computers, right click on the CD drive and select Run. A window will pop up showing the files from both computers, simply select on or more files from one computer and drag over to the desired folder on the second computer. Simple as that.

Helpful tool when switching computers even with different versions
This saved my (computer) life! When setting up my new computer it asked me if I wanted to transfer all backed up contents from the day prior. .. but not transferred. My old computer is Windows 10, new is Windows 11 and it took some figuring out because the directions are unclear (you have to open the program on both computers within the device) but once the program is running I was able to transfer my files from one computer to the next with a great connection (only stops when screensaver goes on) and all files have made it. Larger folders go at a slower speed but for the cheaper price of others I found on Amazon you get the value for your money.

Works with LapLink, but VERY SLOW
I am using this right now with LapLink to transfer the entire contents of one Windows 11 pc to another Windows 11 pc with a much larger hard drive (was running out of space on the old one). This has been running for 12 hours and the ticker is showing that it still has 13 hours to go. The good news is that it does seem to work with Windows 11, at least using LapLink. The bad news is that, at least for LapLink, they advise not doing any streaming or anything more data intensive than web browsing while the transfer is taking place. I originally tried making this transfer over wifi but gave up because it was going so slowly, but honestly this is not much better. Hopefully by this time tomorrow the transfer will be complete. Aaaarrrgghhhh!!!

Works like a charm!
Contrary to many reviews, it did come with instructions and the software resides within the device. Be sure to back it up! Pretty easy to use too. the software doesn't like a lot of files. I know that seems vague but this is what I have found (only using this one day so far), I tried copying 4 folders, each folder had about 20,000 text files and then a few gigs of photos, 4gb total. On the first try, copying one folder fine then shut down, Second try, one folder was copied, then froze. try just one folder... worked ok. I find zipping the folders works much better. Transfer speed is ok, about a gig a minute, I am using Win11 on both pc's.
