Durable, awesome mid boot/shoe
Shoes on the top/left are now shoes on bottom/right are 1 year old. Both ordered from amazon. New just arrived, old just came out of the wash. The old have been awesome been used for long hikes with heavy packs (many miles) on road and through various terrain, have been soaked in swamp water and were worn on concrete surfaces for 8+ hrs a day. Been awesome through it all. Held up well to washing, the heel separated on right shoe because I aways slip that one off first with my left foot. Material is very durable and cleans up nice (I dried it this time on low, a little curling in the sole but I was in a hurry). Been washed probly 6-7 times. They smell now but still clean up pretty well when washed with vinegar or baking soda and detergent.Great zero drop, have worn without insoles and I liked them but went back to insoles for concrete. They aren’t as wide as Lem’s or Softstar but they also look better and are wide enough if you get the right size/use good foot posture.Love the tread too, has done well on slick muddy/leafy slopes and slick concrete/metal/truck beds etc.I saw other comments say the sole separated, maybe those were lemons. My heel separated because I abused it. The toe has barely separated after a year of hard useThey dry out quickly too.Size 13, I have about a thumb’s width between big toe and tip of shoe. Allows my pinky to land around the widest portion of shoe. Not correct toes compatible for me,makes my toes hurt. Yes I would appreciate a little more width by the pinky toe so I could order a smaller size but the space up front allows my toes to not get crushed when driving hard with my feet/sprinting so it’s fine. Will write back on this second pair if I remember.

Best fitting Xero boot
I selected a half size larger for this boot after a poor experience with one of their other hiking boots. This one offers a much better fit than the waterproof version and fits well with the half size larger. This boot has lasted me the longest of any xero shoe I have owned, still going strong after much use over the last 3 months. Most of their casual foot wear has fallen apart after 90 days but this hiking boot has been durable on the trails, at work, and around town. Would reccomend this boot if you are looking for a minimalist hiking boot. The sole of this boot is not overly thick but is much thicker than most minimalist shoes.

Best shoes I've ever worn
My daughter talked me into trying minimalist shoes again after trying some that were more like slippers several years ago, which I never really liked and stopped using. I'm a teacher, on my feet all day, and my feet have been really killing me lately. After reading up on the subject of minimalist shoes, I found that the very arch supports I had been using were actually causing the natural arch muscles of my feet to weaken and not do their job. so I tried these boots. These look like hiking boots, have enough sole on them so you don't feel every pebble, but still allow your foot to re-develop the natural arch muscles the were intended to use. They have zero drop, which also helps you re-align your spine with your legs. They are very flexible and soft and comfortable but still have a sole that has good traction. My foot pain is already getting less after only a week of using them. I totally love these boots!

Great shoes
These are great shoes. The shoes fit very well, great construction, and laces are of great quality. I lost my arch in my left foot which was causing all kinds of pain. Bought these and suffered through the adjustment and now i have barely any foot pain at all.

great hiking boot
The boots run a bit large but they are supposed to from what I understood from the website. I am enjoying the flat soles on my shoes especially when hiking.

great minimalist shoe, minor issues
This shoe worked for me since I was looking for a minimal shoe, not barefoot, for hiking. I've been running with similar type shoes for about 12 years now, so I can't go back to big bulky support anymore. I understand the latter may be preferred for backpacking, etc., but I was just doing some day hiking in Sedona. The feel was great, worked my foot the way I wanted, and felt it in my calves as expected. After one day there as a little 'blip' in the toe as shown in the attached photo, so I was concerned. After three more days with only a couple good hikes a day the end of the trip ended with the bottom photo. So it did not grow and hope some adhesive will bring it down. Have not decided if I'll ask for a replacement.

Really does alleviate bunion pains
I like that I am able to wear shoes daily or again at all for that matter. The extra wide toe box really does allow for my toes to sit in the shoes naturally therefore not aggravating my bunion. I'm able to walk in them for much longer than any footwear I currently am able to put on without experiencing any pain. I'm hoping the pain would eventually diminish as I keep using them and my big toes gets used to bending in a more natural way again. The only issue I've noticed was that it feels like it has no grip on smooth surfaces and even rougher surfaces when they're wet. It might just be a feeling I'm having, but I would not be walking on mossy rocks or steeply inclined, wet, or muddy trails anytime soon.

Meine neuen Lieblingsschuhe
