Interesting jnsights
I liked the characters, enjoyed the expansion on Ford's past and the relationship with his son.Lots of elements are well researched, but much of the military content is off (Ptes in the RMP and live firing in a concrete village will annoy military readers), some questionable assumptions in the story throughout, but otherwise well written and held my attention.

A good read
A possible suicide needing a sceptical detective to suspect it as possibly murder. Slog, though twist and turns, throw in a political self serving police chief, all leads to an unusual ending. A good read.

Gripping
An excellent piece of fiction. Lots of twists and turns with a a tense finish. I enjoy the turmoil surrounding Detective Ford.

Great addition
After reading this one I am getting to like DI Ford more but sadly lots of inaccuracies in the narrative. One glaring one to me was the military explaining the 24 hour clock to him. Every British emergency service uses this to avoid any confusion if something goes to court. We used it all the time in AE for this very reason. Just annoyed me for some reason. Otherwise a decent read.

Plain Dead
. Definitely recommend awesome. I want more. Ford is fantastic. These books grip you and are so moorish. I've loved all three

Good read. As a local I enjoyed the accuracy of the locations.
Worth a read. Read some of Andy’s previous Ford novels & quite enjoyed this one as well. Clever plot too.

Brilliant
Another great book with equal amounts of humour, raw emotion and exciting police investigation and the political interference of good police practice and procedures.Great characters, all with their own intriguing history and quirks. Overall a fantastic book.

Great read
I have enjoyed this series immensely. The characters are real and honest and the storylines are filled with intrigue and enough action to keep you turning the pages. The third book in this series has a lot of twists & turns and I thought I had it all figured out only to realize at the end I was way off the mark. Good thing Henry is the DI. Really looking forward to book 4 and more adventures with Henry, Sam, Hannah, Jools, etc.

Plain Dead
Hard to put down and again with Andy a very easy read. I rated a 4 as I am always a little disappointed that we don’t get to see the superiors eat their arrogance.

Plain Dead. Andy Malsen
To say this is a magnificent read is an understatement of mega proportions. It surpasses the aftershock of an atomic bomb. Being a retired police officer I usually don't like authors writing about a topic they really have no knowledge of. Andy Malden .......,. nailed it. Detective Ford relies on his training, experience and gut instinct. He also has the backing of an excellent team. Enjoyed immensely!! My highest recommendation!!
