These things are a GODSEND!
These are absolutely amazing!! I just recently started buying kt tape for my husband, whose aches range from an old knee injury from being a rancher to a consistent dislocating thumb/carpal tunnel due to hunting and fishing as a career. The first time I convinced him to let me tape him up, we were hooked! I came across these recovery patches and I thought wed give them a try, since the tape was such a success. The only complaint we have is that there arent more in a package!! My husband is an avid hunting and fishing guide, constantly in the elements sometimes for days at a time, and these suckers stay on... and STAY WORKING THE WHOLE TIME!!! Through tall grassland to wade fishing these little suckers are indestructable. The pain relief and the way they help keep inflamation down blows my mind! We are definately life long customers!!!

I'm thankful for its relief
I was very skeptical because this did not help my pregnancy carpal tunnel at all. However I am now using the recovery patches on my very tight lats. Working out and regular chiropractic adjustments do little to help my muscle pain. The tightness of my muscles is causing nerve pain in addition to muscle and spinal pain. Using the KT recovery patches relieves my lat pain as well as any Aspercream, bengay, Tylenol, or flexiril type product. It lasts pretty well, too. I have some peeling edges sometimes but fix it with eyelash glue hahaIt is not an inexpensive solution but I really feel it is a good solution. I'm so glad I stumbled upon it.

Good for soft tissue injury in SOME parts of the body but not a universally useful patch.
I was really dubious about these patches initially. Then again, I felt the same way about kindesio tape and now know that correctly applied kinesio tape can really help - even for those of us with pain just from "loose joints".Anyways, I have chronic pain in the spine, SI joints and hips. Some of the pain is joint related, some of it is soft tissue related (bursa, fascia, muscle inflammation, etc.). Occasionally in the hip and glute I get redness and/or swelling with the pain. I am on chronic pain medication as well as medication for an autoimmune disorder (which affects my joints), but from time to time I still have flares. So, I decided to try these patches and see if they helped during a flare that caused some swelling along with the pain. I ended up testing the patches on the glutes, hip (around the trochanteric bursa area), the upper quad area and the lower thigh (outside edge - along the IT band). They worked VERY well on the glute, hip, and quad areas. Reduced pain and point tenderness where patch was applied by ~50-60% by day 2/3.They worked OK on the edge of lower thigh/IT band area. Reduced pain and some point tenderness were patch was applied by 30-40%. In my experience, I got more out of an aggressive application of KT tape to this area to relieve pain rather than the edema patch. They were not helpful at all around the SI joint, or on either side of my spine. Pain was reduced by 20% or less.I was surprised about this - I know for a fact that a good portion of my back pain where I applied the edema patch is soft tissue related (muscle/fascia inflammation) and the patches still didn't really do much good. It may be that I need to use 2 patches on the same area to get relief there (?). The instructions in the pkg show how you can stagger two patches over basically the same spot for "additional" relief. I didn't have enough patches on hand to attempt this, partially because the patches didn't stick well on the back at ALL. Conversely, I had no problems getting them to stick on the glutes/hip/thigh areas. For the SI area, I wasn't too surprised that the patches were useless. Yes, I know the pain there is from inflammation (I even get swelling in that area when joint pain gets really bad) but there's also a lot of bone in that area. Ligaments are very deep in that area. I can understand why the patch didn't work well here.I also tested 1 patch on my arm, after I accidentally bumped it and ended up with a really bad looking bruise + goose egg on my upper arm. The patch didn't do much for pain, but it did seem to help with the swelling. After 3 days with the patch, the discoloring wasn't as bad as I would have expected and the swelling was noticeably less.

It actually helped with my hip being very tight. However it did not last as long as projected and it came off every time I moved my pants.

Usually love their items except this one
It help a bit with the pain but it left a rash mark when I took off the tape after 2 days of use. This item is suppose to hyperallergic unfortunately I had a bit of a reaction to it. I won’t be getting this next time.

Helps with inflammation.
KT tape is by far the greater tape out of all manufacturers. I've tried them all, other brands don't have the same effect, nor do they stay on the skin for long. It'd rather spend the extra money for the effectiveness of the KT tape. Overall,it's the best brand out there.
