Book 4: Further drawing you into the story line
If you have gotten as far as Book 4 in the Lizzy Gardner series you know that Spiderman is a memory, but still haunts Lizzy Gardner. The story starts this time with radio psychologist Madeline Blair tells her listening audience that she is being stalked, totally unaware what would follow? Seth Brown had formed a love for Madeline and takes it upon himself to protect her. Sitting outside her home, watching nightly for whom maybe stalking her, Seth sees someone looking in her windows he jumps to conclusions that he is the stalker. An obsessed fan turns into a killer. Hearing the horrible phone call over the air, leads to more deaths, and Seth goes after Madeline and Lizzy when Madeline admits it was all for better ratings on the radio show.Jessica, Lizzy’s assistant, is awaiting acceptance into the FBI and has a small story line.Hayley becomes the star of this story; continues on her revenge on Brian and sneaking out at night. Losing weight and becoming more and more despondent. Hayley cannot deal with the death of her mother, knowing that Brian killed her makes her want revenge even more. The very dark side of Hayley comes out in this story line.Enter Kitally so different from Jessica and Hayley. Hayley and Kitally meet in juvenile detention; unknown to all she is the daughter of a wealthy couple. Driving fast cars and living in a luxury mansion Kitally has been helping Hayley on several cases.Lizzy’s sister Cathy after divorcing her cheating husband, can’t live without a man and starts seeing Michael again, much against Lizzy and niece Brittany’s advice.Jared has finally gotten Lizzy to accept his proposal and with the pending wedding only months away, Jared is beyond reasonable with Lizzy putting her PI job before her marriage, not sure any other man would have done that. However, as a twist to the story which leaves the reading wondering will Jared stay faithful to Lizzy, is the hot neighbor and her short shorts.Enter also a small story line involving Lizzy’s father, who is sick and refuses to have Lizzy see him in the hospital, where will the story line go when Lizzy finds a drawing done by a small child to her “Grandpa” and Lizzy begins to investigate.

Be careful what you wish for
Lizzy Gardner can't catch a break. She's broke, she's been beaten, she continues to have nightmares. And author T.R. Ragan doesn't let up. In "Obsessed," the fourth in the series, Lizzy gets a case that starts with a less-than-honest radio psychologist creating a monster in an unhinged listener. Of all her books, this may be one of the more disturbing. Of course, that just enhances its status as a page turner. Ragan follows the evolution of a killer, starting with his obsession of the woman he listens to on the radio. She seems to get him. Until she doesn't. She lies, or at least that's what he begins to think. The killer fancies himself her protector until this little revelation of his in his fabricated reality. Ragan makes it appear that a killer could be just around the corner, a person nobody would ever suspect. Reading this novel gave me the impression that potential horrors could be anywhere, invading anybody's space, tearing apart anybody's lives. Lizzy is hardly a superhero. Yet, Ragan dispatches her to clean up the mess, to rescue those in distress. Problem is Lizzy needs her sidekicks. And she's got great ones. Hayley's her go-to. But now she's got Kitally, another badass overachiever. And she's got Jessica and Jared. But stuff happens. Again, I must explain that I read all these books in the span of a couple weeks. This one was an especially fast read and after finishing it I had to read the next one right away, feeding my addiction to Ragan's storytelling.

A fantastic thriller!
This was an unusual, methodical, and eerie story about a radio show host, a bizarre and obsessed fan, and the results of lies and betrayals. It was definitely a unique thriller that will capture your attention from the beginning, and keep you guessing until the very end. I'm really anxious to read the next book, especially after this explosive ending!I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.

The Ending Is Horrible. Who's the Shooter?
The storyline and characters were great, except the ending. That is not the way to end a novel. There are other ways to end with a teaser that leads into the next book in the series.

... night and I have to say it was even better than the other three and the other three were ...
I finished the book Obsessed last night and I have to say it was even better than the other three and the other three were great. I again thank Theresa Ragan for allowing me to be one of the groups to receive a complimentary Kindle copy as an early addition to the book. I liked the way she made Hayley the star of the book, the way she brought Jessica back into the mix and the addition of Kitally was really a great addition. Kitally is so different from the other main characters in a variety of ways. Lizzy played a big part but it seemed to me that she was more in the background. This in all gave a wonderful new feeling to the story line. Theresa once again keeps you involved with the characters and story. The end of the book will catch you off guard! As I wrote to Theresa, it ended like another book I read, by me saying to myself, “Oh No”. You have to read Obsessed, but be sure to read “Abducted”, “Dead Weight” and by all means “A Dark Mind” before you read Obsessed. I can’t wait until book #5.

The series gets better and better
This series only gets better. I had vowed to myself that I would not purchase any further books and I have failed. I finished this one and immediately picked up the next. T.R. Ragen has a knack for suspense, she has a knack for creating tension and she has a knack for juggling sub-stories with ease. This book displays all of those knacks. It's a simpler narrative structure than the last one and I think that serves it well. I wasn't confused about whose persona I was looking from or indeed where the hell I was at all. This book is virtually seamless and it is excellent for it; there is a change of perspectives, but it's always clear who you have moved to and the plot cranks along at a decent pace.Once more character development is at the top of the game and I really enjoyed the way these characters are twisted and turned throughout. There's some excellent writing here and I have no regrets whatsoever about my impulse buy of the next one! My only potential complaint is that Ragan is becoming a tad predictable in how she finishes with the bad guys... but when the rest of the novel is so gripping, I can't complain really!
