Surprisingly good
I may have bought this accidentally after having consumed 1 or 2 shandies. When it arrived I was surprised I had bought it and had very low expectations, expecting it to be awful.I was very wrong. It is actually very well written, great art style and an odd but very interesting story. Will be getting volume 2 shortly.

So good i instantly pre ordered the second novel
One of the best Graphic Novels I have picked up in 20 years. The art work, the depth of story the interigue.. I immediatly pre orders the second book. There are a few great twists and turns, the art work, the panal formation! the one section that is split from two perspectives meeting in the middle.. literally so very well done!

A unique story with fantastic artwork
The cover art really drew me to this book, and I was not disappointed by the artwork throughout. The colours are fantastic, with a lot of retro inspiration. The colour schemes were great at matching the kind of creepy atmosphere of the story, too.The idea of a horror graphic novel/comic is super appealing to me, and while this wasn't exactly 'scary', it had a nice eeriness to it. Ami as a character intrigued me, and the haunted house is practically it's own character, too, which is interesting. I wasn't expecting the government involvement aspect, and I'm not sure how much I love it, but it would be interesting to see where that goes.I've seen a lot of mixed reviews on this and although it didn't stand out as overly special to me, I enjoyed it and didn't have any major problems with it. The art was lovely, and I loved the uniqueness of the haunted house and the ghosts/creatures. 4 stars!

Strong First Volume
I picked this up after seeing some art by Caspar Wijngaard on twitter and falling in love with the colours he uses. I was not disappointed at all. This comic is beautiful. The colour palette is purples, pinks, reds, blues, really deep, rich colours. I love the character design and the Old James House design. I would rate the art on its own a full 5 stars. The story itself was a little hard to follow the first time around, but upon rereading I felt like it was much better. I think some of the decisions a few of the characters make at different points in the story didn't make any sense but the overall plot is really interesting and I'm excited to see where this goes.Overall I think this is a strong set up with the dip into the action at the end. I'd definitely recommend this and will be looking out for future volumes!

Interesting horror comic series.
Containing issues 1-4, this series deals with punk bands and a haunted house. There's all sorts of supernatural goings-on and the story moves along at a healthy pace. The artwork is pretty good and it's a worthwhile series to read. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
