Minn Kota i-Pilot Link Charging Cable

Torn on this. On the one hand can't fault seller or listing because it works as advertised and came quickly. The issue and reason for 3 stars is with minn kota cable selection and design. First it's a faulty design, it fails at cable juncture to pin head on device end no matter how you use. Second, its overly complex and proprietary. Why the spring loaded pins and custom plug? It's just a low voltage DC USB cable. Nobody needs or wants to use oddball power plug designs. Clearly the only reason they did this was to lock you into their accessory chain. Taking a book straight out of that evil fruit tech companies playbook. People need to punish manufacturers that pursue anti user policies like this. Awful.

Maybe someone knows a workaround to repurpose a similar connection that is more robust and not at these inflated prices.This is just poor execution at a design level to spec a unique or proprietary charging cable. Hey Minnkota - you ain’t Apple.

This is a bit overpriced but does the job. In my opinion they should just use a tried and true regular USB Cable. The end connecting to the remote is the weak spot. Designed to fail

Too expensive but was needed to charge up my remote control to use my trolling motor for fishing. Dislike was too expensive and likes was Amazon had here in time for fishing
