The Applause of Heaven: Discover the Secret to a Truly Satisfying Life

I have been an adamant reader of Max Lucas since my son introduced his work to me last year when I visited. We went to a big league study in his church. This is the best of his works I have read to date. I once and until reading this book dreaded the Book of Revelation. After completing this book I cannot wait to read and understand it.

Life can be so very hard at times - sickness, job loss, betrayal, etc. But, I thank God for the gift of Jesus and the promise of a heavenly eternity. No more sickness, no more disease, no more treating each other so poorly. Those who have accepted the freely offered gift of Jesus can look forward to an eternity of fellowship, laughter, and joy with Daddy and like-minded brothers and sisters in Christ. Hallelujah!Max Lucado so eloquently reminds us of these promises in his writing. He does such a wonderful job of story telling and providing encouragement in his books. Applause of Heaven is another gem.

Loved this book! Loved it! Copied parts of it to share with others. I loved how Mr lucado contrasted Christianity with other faith. It was easy to read and enjoyable. 🙂

What a beautiful book! I laughed, cried, and felt inspired after reading. Max Lucado has a wonderful writing style. He grabs your attention and helps you to place yourself in the words he is trying to convey. I believe this is my favorite portion of the book, the very end . . .You'll be home soon, too. You may not have noticed it, but you are closer to home than ever before. Each moment is a step taken. Each breath is a page turned. Each day is a mile marked, a mountan climbed. You are closer to home than you've ever been. Before you know it, your appointed arrival time will come; you'll descend the ramp and enter the City.You'll see faces that are waiting for you. You'll hear your name spoken by those who love you. And, maybe, just maybe--in the back, behind the crowds--the One who would rather die than live without you will remove his heavenly robe and . . . applaud.My goodness, what an ending. It made me excited about going home.:)

Give a positive view of living and dying. Recommend for anyone who is unsure of the future. Makes heaven a joy to look forward to

I always feel like Max is in my head, writing about the things I've been through in my life. I've only discovered Max Lucado recently and have read 4 books of his in about a month and a half. And honestly, I can't get enough of reading his books. I crave to be a Son of God and Max has been gifted by God to show me the way to that.

This author has an extraordianry writing style. He crafts words precisely as a person would speak in a casual yet striking conversation. He's living proof that sometimes less is more. His word selection lights up the pages--eye-catching metaphors, succinct but deep messages, contemporary language and phraseology--and a great grasp of knowing when to stop. When you combine this exceptional writing style with deep, substantive and meaningful messages you develop an outstanding book. The value of the messages doesn't overwhelm you--it provides a sense of relief that you just might have the ability to embrace the messages and put them to work in your life and realize a positive impact.I highly recommend it.

As the tears dry on my cheeks I can only say how thankful I am to God for giving Max Lucado the ability to write books that brings truth, encouragement and hope.I too am eager to go "Home"Read this marvellous book and you will too.
