Wirklich gut

My Other Cook Books Have Been Downgraded!
Like many others I have all three of his books, owing to the fact that I liked the first one so much. There's such a variety of tastes in there as well. British, Italian, Indian, African, Eastern, Mexican... I live on my own and these books fit the bill. Uncomplicated, tasty, easy. I've gone to the extent of listing all the recipes on a spreadsheet in order to make filtering easy and to utilise on spare ingredients. Some dishes are to die for, but others are so, so. These books have revolutionised the way I eat. Miguel has proved that one doesn't require a store cupboard full of herbs and spices in order to eat well. Nearly all the recipes are main course, so for those looking for starters and sweet courses might be disappointed.

Puts joy into cooking
A massive thank you to the Slimpodder that mentioned the Miguel Barclay £1 meal book.Through the mystical powers of Trevor whispering his sweet nothings while I’m asleep.I have discovered the joys of intermittent fasting using the zero app to track my fasts.I’ve never been a breakfast person, so it was brilliant to hear Sandra say that it’s ok to skip breakfast ... if you’re just not hungry.I just have an evening meal .. Monday to FridayI’ve never been a ‘cook’ even Jamie Oliver described me as a ‘warmer up’ .... 😂😂Putting his fingers in his ears when I asked if his spag Bol recipe said ‘take your jar of dolmio ....Anyway ..... roll forward to 2020....I now get the greatest pleasure in planning my all important meal of the day ...Miguel’s book is perfect ... all of the recipes are for one single portion, which makes all the difference for me living alone. They have no nutritional info, so I’m not calorie countingThe biggest win ... had to be my Tesco shop delivered this week .... full of store cupboard ingredients ... seriously .... I have a jar of seseme seeds, and a packet of couscousMy best friend has contacted missing persons... because she wants to know where her bestie called Wendy is 😂😂😂Keep going ladies..... it’s a game changer xxPs - I only ordered one pack of 9 rolls 😂

Great Recipe Book
I have two of Miguel's books and both are great, the food is tasty and easy to make. I was getting bored of my normal repertoire and decided to branch out. I liked that the ingredients weren't complicated. However i would say that if the budget can stretch to add more herbs and spices for better flavours. I haven't actually calculated but i don't think I've made a meal for £1 but still very in expensive dishes.

Great meals for one .
Liked this book for the fact that it’s not all veggie meals . The dishes are very quick to make especially if you have a lot of bits and bobs of food in your fridge ie halves of leeks , carrots , 1 stick of celery , half tins of pulses etc or of course if there are two of you you can double up on everything. Didn’t like the fact that a lot of the items were cooked in the oven and I’m trying to save money on electricity at the moment , but all in all it’s a book worth buying .
